Anyone interested in a Downton-esque rp?

It wouldn't be a TRULY downton (Unless you would be more interested in that)

But maybe something original, the same type big house, rich family, lots of staff. Elegance in the 1910's.

Like I said though, unless you'd rather do it in Downton.

Anyone interested?

Oh, I would be very interested! I love Downton Abbey and I think that if there are enough people interested, it would be very nice to develop some Downtonesque plot! ;)

The only problem is that I'm swamped with work lately, so I would be a (very) slow poster.. ;)

Edit: perhaps setting the plot in the time frame of the departure/sinking of the Titanic could provide for an interesting plot outline like in DA.

Haha well, my first thought was that I was too busy with exams and all my current RPs, but then I still started thinking about characters and plotlines.. so I guess I just have to join! :teehee:
Hopefully this will not be to fast-paced..

So did you have some characters or a plot in mind? We could also have the setting near Downton, so that some of those characters could meet ours. :)

Edit: Oh and I should probably tell you that I haven't seen season 2 of Downton Abbey yet, so I'd rather not hear any spoilers.. ;)

YAY!

Well, the only thing I've figured so far is some of the characters. Upstairs we'd need a Lord, (Not necesarily a lady.. she could be explained away. :D) Perhaps children.

Then as for sevants we'd need a butler and houskeeper, the rest could be optional, or just come into play rarely. But for example, you could have,
    A cook
    A Scullery maid
    Kitchen maid
    Parlor& housemaids
    Gardeners
    drivers (Carriage or car...)
    Hall boys
    footmen ect.

In that league you could be whoever you wanted, :D

I agree on it being close to Downton. :D That way we could have something to play off of.

I haven't seen all of season 1 yet, but I know enough about it I don't mind spoilers. :D (Seen all of season 2)

Would you rather have a smaller house with fewer characters? or a large one like Downton and just keep most of them nameless?

A large house might be nice with all the ranks upstairs and even downstairs. Do you already have some characters in mind Nenriel?
I was thinking of bringing in a gentleman (probably not part of the family), a housemaid and perhaps a footman . :)

I was thinking of playing a young daughter (maybe late teens in age) and I can play housekeeper. :D

We can leave any other characters up for grabs, and everyone play them until someone wants to play them exclusively, or we could just leave characters like the Lord, and such silent until someone wants them. What do you say?

Eeep! Sorry for not posting here anymore, but I'm still here! :hiya:

I think your first option is the best. Everyone can play those characters until anyone else claims them.
Perhaps you can post the thread and things can get rolling? As you may have noticed, I'm a bit of a slow poster, so hopefully the pace will not be too fast. ;)
