I need to write a short story for English but I can't exactly figure out what to write about. I want to write about an elf girl in her teenage years. I want her to be mischievousness, sneaky and rebellious. She should come from a royal family and want to break out of the strictness because her father won't let her do anything and she has a very over protective brother who won't let her do anything. My problem is thinking of a story to write about this character. What kind of problem does she come across that makes an interesting plot? |

Ask her. I'm being totally serious. Hold an "interview" with your character. Write down her likes, dislikes, loves, losses, adventures, horror stories. Ask her about what she's wearing or what she would do in a specific situation. In the midst of that, her story will unfold.
