"Today on this day, the fourth annual Quarter Quell Hunger Games, we have a new rule in place. This year the tributes will not fight until only one remains. But instead they will fight for a period of three weeks in the arena, and whoever survives at the end will all be crowned victors. But! For the competitive among you, the less victors you have to share your crown with, the more spoils that you and your district will recieve. Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour."

So, I decided to try a Hunger Games RPG, set in the same world as the books but as if Katniss and/or Peeta never went into the arena. No love-struck couple, no resistance, no mockingjay, none of it. The world kept on turning and now it's the new Quarter Quell. Your characters will be among the twenty-four tributes, and we will also have to think up other tributes that are not our main character(s).

Rules:

- Don't control other people's characters
- Put some effort in so it's more than one line all the time
- Proper grammar and spelling
- Do not copy the books storylines. So no star-crossed lovers, no volunteering for an innocent younger child, this is original stuff.
- You can have two characters but help come up with as many non-playable tributes as you wish.
- Anyone can control the non-playable tributes but try not to go crazy (i.e no constant attacks)

Hmm, I would love to join a Hunger Games RP. (I've been thinking of starting one myself). But I did not read the last book yet and I actually prefer to play canon characters. I guess that's not going to happen in this RP?

As far as I know it will not. We're not following the course of the books, we're not including anything of Peeta and Katniss and their whole deal, and no other characters from the stories pretty much either.

Like Bellatrix said, we won't be including any of the characters from the books in here so whether you've only read one book, or only seen the film you can join. But it'll be all original characters, set as if the story in the books never happened.

I'm gonna wait till we've got all the characters before adding them to the first post, just so I don't need to keep going back and forth editing it.

As for the non-playable characters, who wants to create what ones? Because obviously we'll need to name and/or describe each tribute just for consistancy throughout the RP, even if it's just "male tribute for district 1, skilled in hand-to-hand combat, dark hair". So shall we each pick different disctricts and describe them or what?
