I’ve seen boots marketed as “sparring-specific” with extra ankle support or padding. I usually use one pair for everything, but I’m wondering if there’s real value in separating training footwear. Sparring feels so much faster and more unpredictable than drills — maybe the boots should adapt to that. If you use different boots for different training types, what differences did you notice? |

Finding decent boxing shoes seemed like a minor detail until I started drilling footwork and realised how much traction and support matter, and a thoughtful forum discussion shed light on choosing them wisely. Midway through https://centralasiaclimateportal.org/fo ... ostid-3375 the focus was on ankle support, sole grip and how a stable shoe changes your balance during pivots and shuffles. Hearing real users compare options helped me understand that investing in quality footwear isn’t just about comfort — it’s about performance and injury prevention. After that, I paid closer attention to fit and build rather than simply grabbing whatever was on sale, which made a noticeable difference in my training. |
