wow. I'm reading the three-books-in-one book. I forgot that Arwen was even IN the FOTR. I remember it now, though. Aragorn was pretty cool too.

^um, ok...  FotR refers to Fellowship of the Ring. 
Mine would have to be Merry and Pippin. They're my favourite throughout all of the books.

My favourite is Glorfindel, that guy was awesome. He had defeated one of the "gods", and when sent back from Valinor he could openly ride out against all 9 Nazgul together. Not to mention he was the only known remnant of the mighty folk (the Gondolindrim) left in Middle-Earth

mine is also Glorfindel hes so awesome and powerful who else(exept ecthelion) would be able to slay a balrog

Well we are not sure if he is the same Glorfindel as the one of Gondolin who slew the Balrog, but he was indeed very powerful.
Mine favourite is Elrond. He is very wise, and I jealous him because of his great libraby. _________________ <center>  </center>

My favourite charakter is Sam. He represents everything that is good in Middle-earth. It is wonderful, how Sam supports Frodo. He changed the most, I think. At the beginning, Sam is a bit shy for everything that is new, and he didn´t want to leave the shire. But when the quest turns out, he became the most heroic charakter. He even fights against Shelob and Orcs, he was so afraid for. Tolkien himself once said, that the main character is Sam. He is the only person, who could give the ring away. Everybody wants it, but to Sam it is the most evil thing. I really love this character, and I think Sean Astin did such a wonderful performance.
