Yes I believe Aragorn is the most suitable person to be the King.

I just couldn't decide between Aragorn and Legolas.. so I didn't vote for anyone.. but however.. I don't have a fav saying or a fav chapter in FotR. I like all female roles, they are all very important I think..

To put it back on topic I would like to make a few comments about Arwen.
It is through sacrifice and loyalty that love is demonstrated in LotR. Arwen and Aragorn give us a breathtaking example of these elements that Tolkien believes to be bonded so strongly to the human experience.
To be beside Aragorn, Arwen not only gave up her family but chose the crushing death of a broken heart in exchange for immortality! But what would love have been to them if she had not? Aragorn would have never been more than a distraction—an experiment to while away just a fraction of her spectacular lifespan. The extent of her love for him shines bright in the fact that she does not remain immortal after his death.
And Aragorn? He remains loyal to Arwen despite the temptation of the capable, adoring Èowyn, even though Arwen is so far away. And how patient he is! He falls in love with Arwen at 20 but she does not return his love until 29 years later when he has become a warrior and a leader. His love never falters in 3 decades of waiting!!!
Here Tolkien he gives us an awesome picture of love—a picture consistently shown in the relationship between Arwen and Aragorn. It is the reality of love as an ultimately triumphant force that must endure many trials in order to realize bliss. Tolkien’s belief that love can stand against all odds is materialized in the hardships and suffering that Aragorn and Arwen experience.
We are attracted and driven to LotR because of the intriguing fantasy and adventure of it but I believe that it is this intrinsic theme of love that makes it so compelling and believable.

WOW! you stole my words! Arwen and Aragorn represent love. Anyone can see that, anyone can feel love, but love so deep i think only few can experience. True love waits, for 3 decades, for a hundred decades, that is how we know their love was (is) deeper than the crusts of this Earth!

So true Eärlinde Elensar. When we love that deeply we open ourselves up to being hurt deeply. And many are not too excited about that. To experience love like that we must be so vulnerable and unselfish. I think that is why so few experience it. Tolkien really did give us an awesome picture of love...one to really contemplate on a bit.

I love Arwen, she's my fav she-elf.
My favouirte sayings by arwen, I love all the lines she has with Aragorn especially the ones in Elvish because they are just so romantic.
My favourite elvish saying is probably :Ae ú-esteliach nad...estelio han. Estelio ammen. Which is from the Two Towers when Aragorn is dreaming of Arwen back in Rivendell and when she says to him(In Elvish)
Quote: If you trust nothing else, trust this. Trust us I love that line and the extended Two Towers scene where Aragorn is about to leave with the fellowship and he and Arwen have an almost entirely Elvish conversation where he tells her to leave Middle-Earth for the Grey Havens. All the scenes Arwen and Aragorn have together, i love them and the scene in Return of the King where Arwen sees her son and rides back to Rivendell. Arwens costumes are all beautiful but if i had to choose favourites they would have to be the blue/purple gown from Return of the King, the Coronation gown and the White one from Fellowship. Apart from Arwen, i do like Eowyn's character especially when she is fighting ar Pellenor Fields. I love Eowyn's white dress at the Edoras in Two Towers and her green one aswell. I also quite like her coronation gown and her shieldmaden one too. My favourite lines from Eowyn are: Quote: I am no man and in extended Return of the King conversation with Faramir when she says Quote: There is no warmth left in the sun
Sorry for such a long reply its just i tend to rant about things like this

The scenes with A&A together are nice, but I think some of them do not need to be included.

I feel the same way. I think they should have taken some of the Arwen scenes out that didn't stay true to the book. I know that Arwen isn't really mentioned in TTT or RotK till the end and I did enjoy many of her scene's, but some of them took away from real plot of the story. Especially in TTT...

but there weren't any scenes with Arwen&aragorn in the book, Tolkien never mentioned what happened between them when Aragorn was out in war! So i think it was a good idea to add some scenes, if they would've done it this way, it would've been confusing: first they meet in rivendell and aragorn leaves and says this was only a dream, then in ttt and rotk there wouldn't be any scenes with them, but in the crowning of aragorn they kissed and hugged and married. the ones who haven't read the book wouldn't have understood what it was all about, but when they added the scenes with the evenstar pendant etc the audience has some background.
see what I mean?

I'm not saying that all of them should be taken out, but I do feel that some were unnecessary, and took away from the plot. I guess in the end it all fit, so, what am I complaining about.
