At that time Sauron wasn't aware that the Ring had been found - or even if he knew about it, he wasn't strong enough to call it and control it yet.
And I belive Darrell is right. The Ringwraiths were only able to rise and take "form" through Sauron's immediate power, and they weren't strong enough to hunt for the Ring at that time, so Bilbo didn't see them.

I think that you are refrering t the fact that you think Bilbo does not see the eye of Sauron...am i right?

Frodo is the ring-bearer. I think Sauron knows of the fact the ring is held be a halfling, and therefore no matter who had it, Frodo or Bilbo, both of them are Halflings so i think Bilbo may have experienced Sauron's power, just not as much as Frodo because Frodo had a task...to destroy the ring. Bilbo just liked the ring and felt drawn to it.

^I think that's exactly what she's saying galadriel.
I think everyone has a sort of pull towards the Ring and it's power. For some it is a physical feeling of being drawn towards it, and for others it is a mental struggle. Either way, that is what the Ring is constantly doing; drawing us in, and then corrupting us.

When Bilbo was in possession of the ring, Sauron had no idea that the ring even still existed, never mind the type of being who was carrying it. Bilbo would not have experienced Sauron's power directly, because Sauron was unaware of him. However, he felt the power of the ring ("I feel thin, sort of stretched...") which I guess is indirectly feel Sauron's power.

Sauron was only aware that the ring was still in existance when it was in Frodo's possession, and that was the only reason the Ringwraiths came after him.

Bilbo was a Ringbearer too. But like Darrell said - and like I stated in an earlier post - Sauron wasn't looking for his ring when Bilbo had it. He still had to learn that it had been found, and before he could set his eye on it, he had to have at least a clue to where in the great Middle-earth he should look for it. Also, the Ringwraiths hadn't risen yet, when Bilbo had the Ring, because Sauron wasn't strong enough at that time.
