I revisited AU on Jan 14th after an almost 10-year break! The nostalgia..!

I voted a great friend, the book legolas is a good warrior but when I think great warrior I think of a couple others before him... don't hate me for saying that... I think he's an excellent archer and tracker along with Aragorn, but Boromir dying to save the hobbits, Aragorn's many battles... I just can't rate Legolas the top warrior. But, I do think he's a great friend as well as a good warrior. He befriended someone his entire race was prejudiced against, by him being able to befriend not only men, hobbits, and a wizard, he also of all things befriends a dwarf... he showed his true character in my opinion.


(and sorry, but I deleted the "fairy" option, not quite right for this forum...if they don't like him they can vote for that choice of not liking him, or the he's weird choices. ) Thank you for the poll though!

what does the 'REDO of:' part in this topics name stand for? it disturbs me for not knowing. I think it's something that everyone knows except me I think Aragorn and Boromir are equal with fighting skills with Legolas. and Legolas hadn't been for many years in the wild (though in Mirkwood) so he hadn't developed as good tracking skills and I would've died meself if Legolas would've died.. no matter how, protecting hobbits or not. I'm glad Tolkien didn't write Legolas getting killed

Well, I voted for very hot because that is what comes to my mind First. After very hot I would say that he is a great warrior and also a good friend. He's got it all...(sigh)

I didn't like all the stupid lines he was given in the movie, but I really liked him in the books. He is a good friend, an excellent archer, and an elf on top of that, which makes him amazing!

EDIT: Which is why I couldn't really decide whether to vote for warrior or good friend...

Okay, he's handsome, but still I voted for great warrior. I don't think you should judge people on their appearance, but on the way they are. Legolas is a great warrior and a loyal friend, he's handsome, but as he's Elven he can't be anything but handsome.

I think Legolas is a loyal friend, a grear warrior and very wise because he is the first elf who is friend of a dwarf. I like his personality, it is awesome.

Legolas is very skilled in archery and very loyal to everyone in the fellowship. Him and Aragorn have a good relationship, and he's an ELF... So, that adds on graceful, good-natured, kind, and everything from the awesome eyesite to the pointy ears. I don't think he's hot, but I'll agree that they made him look attractive in the movies. Some of his lines were stupid, but, he delivered them well, and I would say more, but I have to go...

Well, I would just like to add something here that I forgot to say in my last post. When I said that I thought of Legolas as hot I meant that even though Orlando is part of the reason that I think that he's hot, Orlando's not the only reason that I think that Legolas is hot. I think that a man can be attractive because of his attittude the same as he can by actual looks. So it's not just that Orlando is hot but that Legolas is hot. Though we aren't given much about what Legolas actually looked like physically in the books (though it did talk about what elves look like so we had some small idea) we were told what he looked like emtionaly because it talked about Legolas's attitude. The way that Legolas was so caring towards animals, and self giving, and brave, and strong emotionaly and physicaly, ect. Was a totally turn on, at least for me. So Legolas was hot not just in the movies but in the books as well. So that's part of my reasoning behind my #1 opinion of him.
