To be like Faramir. That would be so great, and so fulfilling.

But I think, really, what we should strive for is to be better than Faramir. Yes, Faramir is pretty much a model of human and mortal goodness, yet he's not without fault. He is, after all, mortal. In fact, we know from reading The Silmarillion that not even the Valar were without fault. Only Ilúvatar was without fault. He's the top of the pyramid of goodness. He's the one to strive to be like.

Of course--we couldn't really strive to be like him in all aspects; there are, after all, several aspects that we know we should not try to rival. :P Thanks for showing us which ones, Morgoth.
