I totally agree. But I also think that RingWraiths are up there in the supreme being status and therefore have no need for bows really.

No really! There would be this huge epic adventure where Frodo has to battle himself out the Wyrm's stomach with Sting--Oh! Or! He could get stuck and have to call Tom Bombadil and Tom would rescue him like he was in a barrow. Or! Or the thing that ate him would have eaten a bunch of other stuff--like his entire hobbit-hole and Frodo would just live in the worm with the ring while the worm traversed underground to Mordor and when they reached Orodruin, the worm would belch everything up and Frodo would chuck the Ring in!
I'm joking, of course.

Instead of just purging Frodo, couldn't he throw himself in? I think throwing up something that big would be slightly painful....

Personally, I think bows and Nazgul go together as well as lolly pops on pancakes, not good. It's just not their style, I wonder if they'd be any good at it...
I mean I'm sure it would look cool, I can see it now in fact, but then of course we wouldn't have the next to movies and half of the first one which would be a shame. Also we wouldn't have the whole simultaneous sword drawing the Nazgul love too do.

in the movies they wear those creepy gloves right? that would make it difficult i would imagine, and because they just sort of sniff and listen to things. I guess they could have shot Frodo with poison arrow instead of stabbing him with the morgul blade, buuuuut where's the awesome heart-gripping tension in that?

And what's the point in doing that? They're superior fighters for obvious reasons, clearly close-combat is by FAR more effective for them than ranged. They don't need bows, they just need to chase and outrun their targets, which they always do on those horses.

And if you remember, the Ringwraiths had very poor eyesight, so they couldn't have seen well enough to shoot Frodo. Plus, it would have been to easy, too quickly over.

The Nazguls are too cool to shoot with bows and besides they can't see. They sniff If you remember the movie. The Nazgul sniffed Frodo and his friends, but still left and didn't see them. The horse sees but the Rider doesn't.

This is one of many questions about Lotr haha. When I watch the movies, every time I come up with other questions about the plot etc. If the Ring Wraiths can have an evil, poisoned sword...then why not an evil, poisoned bow that has been enchanted to find it's target with ease? I watched a thing on Youtube called "How Lotr should have ended" in a crude animation, Frodo and Gandalf jump onto a giant eagle, fly over Mount Doom and drop the one ring in. End of story. And I thought to myself...why not? Hahaha. But of course, then there would be no story You should have a look at the clip though, its really funny
