So what are your impressions of Pippin as he's introduced in the beginning of FotR (book, not movie)? How do you think he grows/changes by the end of FotR (not of LotR), or does he change at all?
Any other thoughts, quotes, or whatever about Pippin post away!

Pippin is so reckless and funny! I think the movie did him justice, he thinks almost only about sleep and food Even when elveswith Gildor arrived, he was more into eating and sleeping ^^

Pippin is one of my favorite characters. He's extremely loyal so I don't think he's changed at all throughout the books (and the movies definitely got him perfect!) and he's amusing.

Fool of a Took! Pippin grew in me, I always was fan of Merry more. But Pippin...with his recklesness and some stupidity (of good sort!) is very adorable.

I think that Pippin is really happy all the time and he is not always very smart. Like in the movies where Merri and Pippin want to go to Mordor with Frodo and Pippin asks: "Where will be going?" I don't know it just makes me laugh.

For me, Pippin in the start of FotR is like the prototype of a typical Hobbit: not a care in the world, unless it concerns getting his meals in the right time and singing a song now and then. However, already in Rivendell he shows some more of his personality: he is determined not to get left behind when Frodo leaves for Mordor and even says that he will follow them in secret if he needs to.

Pippin is the cutest hobbit in FotR. I agree with that he is stereotypical hobbit, he has all atributes of such. He is reckless and thinks only about his stomach but I can't not love him.
