That one is easy! I can't stand Tom Bombadil and that entire chapter is a chore to get through!

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh......thank you Lady Alane for making this thread. My least favourite of all the chapters is the Council of Elrond........it just goes on and on and on........and they just keep talking and talking. I know its important but.......I already know whats going on and they explain it about 50 times in that chapter!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what u mean my Elf friend, i mean I liked the chapter but, enough with the explaining! we know what 2 do! Besides I only read it 2 underline the lines and pargraghs that Legolas is in :-D
But I don't hate the chapter my Elf friends.

Wow, I can see how many of you hate The Council of Elrond. Yes, a lot of the important chapters are boring - maybe it's because of it's importance that it is awful because I know I have to read it to understand the book, but just don't WANT to read it.

But I like the FotR soundtrack "The Council of Elrond" song! :bye2:

Wow, it's amazing someone else liked it!! I liked that chapter a lot. The only thing that maybe got a bit boring for me is the Hobbit part at the beginning.

I LOVED that chapter!! Tom was a great character!.. well i liked him. *mutters* he should have been in the movie!

No he really is the one character that could be spared- he didn't make any sense outside of his own chapter in the book, and he would have been just a random annoyance in the film!

I'd have to say Council of Elrond, just because it is REALLY long... if it was shorter I'd like it better I think.

I dont really hate any of the chapters, but if I had to choose I guess I would pick The Council Of Elrond. Like you guys said it was really long, but I didnt hate it entirely. lol
