Eh, for all his faults, I like Frodo. I feel bad for him too that he had to be the Ring Bearer. (Well, he only HAD to bring it to Rivendell, but he did end up carrying it to Mordor, and hey, that can't have been fun!)
As for the snappy/rudeness... I didn't really notice that much to tell the truth. I guess he was just under a lot of stress, though that's not really an excuse.
Sam... Yes, he was the hero, but so was Frodo for carrying it that far. But Sam held him up and made him continue. A lot of credit has to go to Sam. Yay for Samwise the Brave!

Such a small creature with such a heavy burden is the making of a great story. Frodo had courage beyond any other hero in any other book or movie. He left his comfortable home to travel all the way across Middle-Earth to destroy something that was the cause of wars, evil, and death for thousands of years. He carried on and did not give up, even though he was close to death. Sam was a big help to Frodo too, and the two hobbits pushed each other towards their goal. *claps* I applaud Frodo and Sam.

Calling me there
I will go there
And Back again

That's one thing I really like about these stories. Frodo's a little hobbit who wants to stay at home, drink beer, eat, garden, eat...

Yes, I like that about him too. But, having a little adventure every one and a while breaks the old daily routine, you know?

Eh nobody appreciates Frodo. He was the one to go and do everything. I seriously doubt that any other character in the whole series would have had the backbone to stick it through all the way to Mordor. Frodo had to deal with so much, overcome so much, I mean by the end he could see the ring of fire with his waking eye. Dude that's pretty traumatizing. heh
Personally the hero for me will always be Frodo. And don't tell me Sam's the "unsung hero"... he's all I ever hear about! lol

I am on the second chapter of this book, and I had no clue that Frodo was 50 when he took on the ring! wow

I like Frodo. I can't help thinking about Frodo without thinking about Elijah though and I'm a huge Elijah Wood fan lol. I do actually like Frodo though. Although i do take the point that at times he does become rather snappy, but i like his personality, his wisdom, his courage and Frodo in general.
I dislike what the corruption of the ring does to him though.
