Yeah, I knew he'd been dating Pam, but I had no idea that they'd been dating that long! I learned something today too Frodo's-Guide.
I like what you all had to say about Mt. Doom. Now, that I read all yours, it makes mine seem real inferior and dumb.

Not at all! I liked what you said Itarilde! I thought mine sounded stupid. I just couldn't make the feelings flow out. I tried my best though. I'm sure there's more to say, but I don't have time now. Honestly, time. That's what I need more of. School is killing me. It's crazy.
I'd love to stay and post more but I have a couple of other posts I want to answer and some more stuff I want to finish up before I call it a night, so I'm sorry for how short this is and hopefully I'll be back Wednesday!

Hope school doesn't succeed in killing you--that would be very sad for all of us here. Seriously, I hope it gets easier, though.
Thanks for the link, Forever. I think i may try and get the program you said you use also (was it Photoshop? I think so...) and see if that has more features to my liking. Plus, that way you can help me if i need it. Thanks for what you've done already, though.
Don't anybody feel like what they wrote was stupid, now. We all have times where it's hard to get our thoughts across, and even then it may be perceived as eloquent and uplifting by someone else. For example, I think i was starting to choke up as i read what TT wrote. Also, I recently posted a poem in the Frodo club that i wasn't completely happy with (at least before i changed it around a bit), and two people told me they liked it very much--i think one of them said she thought it was one of my best. If i remember correctly. *smiles in thanks at Forever and TT* So anyway, hope you didn't mind the "prep talk" too much. I just don't like to see people get discouraged about themselves or their abilities.
Oh, i just noticed, TT. Are the words on your top banner from My Last Breath? (I don't blame whoever made it for changing the original last word, if so--it could be interpreted in a way one didn't intend. ) I like that. It seems a good place for those particular lyrics, if that's what they are.
Hmm...Mount Doom...Someone (not sure who--i think it was Forever) said (correct me if i misquote, or, you know, mis-paraphrase ) that one thing that comes out in that scene was the love that Frodo and Sam have for eachother. That's one of my favorite aspects of it, as well. It's strange--it seems like most people would be more likely to say that Sam was more heroic (and he certainly very courageous and selfless), so it struch me as an interesting thought that you thought Frodo might be. Thinking about it, I think \ that they were heroic in different ways, and that one isn't necessarily more so than the other. Like having different strengths. I like what you said though about how Sam wouldn't have survived without Frodo, just as Frodo wouldn't have survived without Sam. It seems like a lot of people talk more about the latter (which is definitely worth recognition and honor), but I like to see someone bring the former into view. I'm not sure i've thought about that much myself, so thank you, lol.
P.S. TT, at this moment you have 1100 posts. Congrats.

..when the talk falls on Mt. Doom
- I prefere the scenes after the ring has been cast (dropped)
..the atmosphere of relief, quiet, love and friendship
..the remembrance expressed, on the rock
(the lights on the party-tree, Rosie dancing, the sound of the stream)
and one of my favorite lines..
`here...at the end of all things´
- the sense of the two of them, being all there is, in the whole world, at that moment in time
..it always moves me

I like what you had to say Zandain. I absolutely love when Sam is talking about back home in the Shire. It was so magical and touching!
And I do agree with the thought that, even though we know Frodo couldn't have survived without Sam, Sam couldn't have survived without Frodo. Sam had such an amazing capacity to love and be loyal and Frodo was the way he let those emotions show.

I love the fact that their friendship is so strong, it is enabled to endure even the harshest of fates.

I have much to catch up on it seems.
Eariel, yes, the lyric is form My Last Breath, and yes, it was changed because I didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression, and actually, when I first heard the song, that's what I thought they were saying, so I figured that would be an OK thing to chnage it to. But yes, thos words kind of popped into my head when I saw that picture so......
Thanks alos for your congratulations and compliments on what I said. I didn't think I expressed myslef very well, but I guess I'm learning that a lot of the time you deceive yourself into thinking you've doine worse than you have. I like the scenes after the Ring has been destroyed too I think. To make a bad analogy, the Mount Doom seems are like someone swimming. Pushing themselves at the end to make their last struggle, then they plummet, they give in, they fall under, and then, they come up again with a desperate gasp for air, and an amazing feeling of calm now that they've reached a shore. It takes a little thinking about, but you can kind of see what I'm talking about if you know what it's like to be insane.
A bit off topic... but I desperately want photoshop! I can't really make graphics, since the only program I have is paint. I really want photoshop, I'm thinking of buying it, but I have to see how much it will cost and so forth first.
Sorry that this is so short, but I have so much to catch up on.....

You're welcome. You're right--i think sometimes our "inner measuring rod" can make what we have to say seem less worthy of notice than others see it, if you know what i mean. And yes, i might just know how it feels to be insane (which i am, in a manner of speaking ). Lol, that way of putting it amused me. And yes, i can see what you mean about swimming. (Also, i'm glad to have my "suspicion' lol about your banner confirmed. It's a good picture with good lyrics on it. "Now" and "love" do sound a bit similar, and of course it was probably wise of you in any case to change it. Well done again, lol.)
Frodos_Guide, I love their friendship, too. I think their love for one another comes to the surface more and more as they progress toward their goal, and especially in the Mount Doom sequence (of course ).
I like what you said as well, Zandain. I like those scenes afterward, too, though i'd have to say my favorites are on the slopes before the Quest has ended. Like i may have already said, though, after they've completed their task it's like Frodo is giving back the tender compassion, love, and loyalty Sam gave him last time they were on the slopes of Mount Doom (as opposed to in the Sammath Naur) and all through their journey. I have to go, but see you hopefully tomorrow!

Forever! I'm so glad you're alive! It's great that you'll be able to come on more. Congrats on getting your driver's license! And pretty new banner.
So...........yes. I think I may have said everything I can think of to say about the Mount Doom scenes. Although, I'm kind of..........agitated? right now. I feel kind of like all my insides are swilring around and I'm trying to think about 50 different things at once and it makes it rather hard to concentrate on communicating your feelings when they're all so jumbled together at the moment. If that makes any sense whatsoever.
Sorry again everyone. Luckily, it's the weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to get on a bit more as well.

Yay for Forever! Getting your liscence is a huge step!
I know what you mean TT about your thoughts getting all jumbled up and you know what you want to say you just don't know how to say it. It's the most frustrating thing in the world!
I'll be looking forward to seeing both of you more often here!

So will I! Nice new banner , Forever(it wrings my heart--poor Frodo --which is a compliment), and congrats on your license! I'm thinking of getting mine next summer.
The "jumbled thing" lol happens to me sometimes in poetry (actually, more often than sometimes implies, i think ). To me though, one of the main points in poetry (for example) is to find the words to say something (and give it the feeling you meant for it to have, which can be tricky) which is difficult to put into words. To define the undefinable. I'm not sure whether i just came up with that, or whether i was subconciously remembering someone else having said it, but i like it.
If we're running out of thoughts (for now ) to post about this scene, does someone else want to pick another (since i chose the last one, so i think one of you should get a chance to now)?

For everybody who is interested: I opened a small avatar claim here:

What about the scene at the end of FotR where Frodo is making his decision on the banks of Anduin?

Those pics make you want to cry! Just like Frodo. In this scene he's starting to realize what exactly he'll have to go through for the Quest, and yet, brave and noble as he is , decides to continue anyway. It also shows his grief for Gandalf, and it seems there's a sense of him being all alone... (Except for Sam, speaking of Forever's wallpaper, i guess the lonely tears and resolve of a moment ago make his friend's coming even more of a relief, if you know what i mean...) Just now the lyrics of Lacrymosa (by Evanescence) came to mind: "Out on your own/Cold and alone again" (or something like that). It seems to describe what Frodo was feeling at that moment. Okay, i'll let someone else continue the philosophizing.
