As for the eyes, I don't think that his eyes are very much like Lij's. Lij's are deeper in color and more nicely shaped. However, he does have very very nice eyes. Lij's are better, but did you really expect me to say otherwise?
Eariel, I shall endeavor to go and read your Frodo thing a little later. Homework is the bane of my existence lately.
By the way Eariel, congrats on being nominated for a Member Award. Most obsessed with a LOTR actor. I wonder which actor they could be talking about? And I wonder who on earth could have nominated you?
Congratulations to you as well Forever for being nominated for most helpful. Very cool.

I was.. WHAT? *rushes out to find nominations*
Hey, that's cool. I should pay more attention to the member awards. And congrats on getting nominated, Eariel. I think I might have an idea who nominated you, don't you agree, TT?
And TT, you're right, Lij's eyes are most definitely the nicer ones, but I liked the ressemblance (sp?) very much.

It was quite by accident that I found out. I just saw a thread saying they were taking nominations. Otherwise I wouldn't have known anything either. The deadline for nominations was yesterday, so I expect they'll be posting the voting quite soon. Best of luck to both of you!
I have no idea who nominated Eariel. Whatever can you mean Forever?
Elijah reigns as the King if beautioful eyes. But Cillian Murhy's are very nice.
By the way Eariel, I read your description of Frodo. I posted about it over in the Frodo Club if you care to take a look.

Yes, i saw your comments. Thanks for checkng it out.
I was...what? (What Forever said. ) Oh, thank you to the "anonymous" person who nominated me! lol... I never pay much attention to the awards either... Well, i'll definately be watching them much closer this time! (Funny thing is, i don't consider myself the most rabid fangirl after an actor out there... But i do like to put on that "rabid fangirl" persona, so to speak, just 'cause it's fun, and, well, true, in a way... )

Haha, nice "whistle" emoticon, TT! I guess I know.. we both know what I mean, don't we, preciouss?
Eariel, you mean, rather rabid fangirl after a character? Very true indeed.

Why thank you forever. I rather like the little whistling smiliey. You're Gollum-ish-ness made me laugh.
True. If they would have had a most rabid after a LOTR character award, that would have been better. But Lij is a lot like Frodo on earth, besides he's also very awesome, so he works too.
*sighs* Frodo and Elijah. They're both rather swoonworthy.

I've been crazy busy lately. But it's good to be here. I haven't paid any attention to the member awards but congrats to everyone who was nominated.
TT, you're right. they both are very swoonworthy. It's hard to choose between either or. so i've decided that it's just easier not to choose.

Lol... I think i see what you mean. TT's right, tho--I love Frodo more even than Elijah. He is like Frodo on earth, tho, and i'm very happy to be a 'nazgul award' nominee.
Speaking of Frodo, i just made myself a portfolio in the fan art section. It has several of my recent pictures of him, if you want to check it out. Here's the link.
http://arwen-undomiel.com/forum/viewtop ... 626#702626
Edit: Someone just voted for you, Forever... Wonder who it was? (Make sure and visit the voting section, you guys... As a nominee, it concerns me rather closely! Like it says, tho, vote for you who really think deserves the award, not for who you like. Just to take any pressure off. ) Btw, what does the small text in your siggy banner say, TT? Just curious.

Good idea to open this thread for you work - see my comment there.
And I just voted for you, too (Thx for you vote, by the way!), and not only because you're my friends, but also because I think you deserve it.
To answer your question for TT, I think the text in her banner says "this is your destiny". Very appropriate for Frodo

Thanks--i thought that's what it was. Of course, i had already posted when i saw the avatar, and was like But then i decided to leave the question anyway, just on the off chance that it wasn't that. lol... Tho it probably is.
Thanks for voting for me, and you're welcome! Man, it's so hard deciding whether you want to vote for someone b/c they're your friend, or because they deserve it... I wasn't sure, so i somewhat impulsively voted for you and then soon afterwards decided i'd made the right choice. lol... I was relieved.
Speaking of awards, and nazgul, and general fangirlyness... I wrote another poem today! (It was kind of a grey, rainy day, which comes into the song.) It's basically about how i was thinking about the next ORC convention, and feeling sad that Lij isn't going to be there... I'd somewhat gotten over it, but i guess it isn't that simple always, and sadness can come back to haunt you again. Sorry, rather dark i know... (Sound's like one of my Evanescence-influenced songs. Actually, i recently became interested in another "goth-ish" band, Nightwish, and discovered that the songs i thought i was writing in Ev's style are actually more like the songs of Nightwish. So that was interesting, finding someone whose style somewhat reminds me of my own and all. So this song is kind of--tho maybe not exclusively--influenced by Nightwish, i guess, perhaps especially by my favorite song of theirs, Nemo.) No pun intended with the title, btw, Forever.
The Forever Night
Without you, grey and cold my world--
Without your radiance, Morn is furled,
No light on misty wavetops pearled--
How can one night last forever?
I lost you once, sweet summer Sun,
And once more is Winter's dark begun:
Yet I dream that Springtide's hope is won,
Though I've strayed through Dusk forever...
Let the rain fall like a lullaby,
Sweetly, softly lamenting Dawn:
Let the storm break--wild thunder's cry--
But I remember Morning--
I remember you.
Tonight I wish a dream's rebirth--
That Morn should grace the mourning earth!
Yet from a distance, Love taught me your worth,
And the lesson I keep forever:
So shine for me, bright Evening Star!--
I'll watch you sparkle, fair and far:
Perhaps someday I'll shine where you are--
It's a wish I've dreamt forever...
Let the rain fall like a lullaby,
Sweetly, softly lamenting Dawn:
Let the storm break--wild thunder's cry--
But I remember Morning--
I remember you.
Dewdrops glisten in Aurora--
Let these rain-tears also catch the light
Of your glowing smile--warm my heart,
And turn the rain to diamonds for me:
For even from a distance,
Love is lantern light enough...
Let the rain fall like a lullaby,
Sweetly, softly lamenting Dawn:
Let the storm break--wild thunder's cry--
But I remember Morning--
I remember you.
(Will you think of us, too?)

How do you write like that? It drives me crazy you're just so good. You're stuff is really edgy with gives it a realistic feel to it. Just like Evanesence's songs. I've never heard of Nightwish before, I'm more familiar with E's style of music. Or lyrics in this case.

Thanks for the compliment--I´m glad you liked it. (I´m afraid i don´t know what exactly edgy means, tho, in this case... But I´d be happy to have you tell me. ) I guess it takes practice. I´ve been writing (consistently, i mean) for over four years. Do you like to write, too? If so, please don´t be discouraged. Just keep at it. Btw, if you want to check out some of Nightwish´s songs, a lot of them are on youtube. (Just be warned, as some of them i definately wouldn´t rate G, if lyrics were rated, and i don´t mean because of violence. They have still have some beautiful songs, tho.)
But now, we need another Lij topic... Well, here´s a something of a Frodo topic. Today is March 1st... I always like this month because so much of the Quest happened between today and the 25th (when the Ring was destroyed). Sometimes i´ve looked up what happened each day of the month in the Tale of Years (as i think it´s called) at the back of RotK.

edgy is sort of like reality with a dark twist. Or it can also mean just originality, or a deeper way of looking at things.
I do write, but it's such a problem for me. I have so many thoughts I can never keep them straight and then my writing turns out messy.
I forgot that it was around this time when the Quest ended. It's kind of interesting timing that the Ring was destroyed and it happened to be around Spring time. Spring is usually associated with new beginnings and new life.

AAAHH. No time. Forgive me guys. Life has been crazy.
Eariel, beautiful poem as always. And that is interesting. I guess I didn't really think about it, btu now that you point it out I realize. Isn't it strange how almost everything can be traced back to LOTR?
Sorry I don't have time for more now.

^That's okay, I don't have much time myself. Glad you liked the poem! Lol, i've had much practice in tracing everything back to lotr (and thus possibly driving my family crazy).
Thanks for explaining 'edgy,' Itarilde. Come to think of it, i think that's kind of what i was going for, so it's nice to hear you say it was. I guess for Middle-earth, the Ring being destroyed would mean a new beginning and new life. (I believe Gondor's new year started being on March 25 after the Ring being unmade on that day.) I don't have time to post it now, but i wrote another poem today (about missing someone--you can guess who--that couldn't be at the ORC convention i went to today). I'll try and post it tomorrow.

No problem Eariel^ And I think you're right about Gondor's new year. I'm also looking forward to reading your new poem.
