It kind of bothers me when people say that Pippin's dumb. He's nice and sweet and grows up a lot throughout the trilogy.

But...but...but...Pip's not dumb!!! :disgust: He's not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but he's really sweet and you're right, he does mature quite a bit over the course of the quest.

Anyhow, as to my favorite Hobbit - er, I'm afraid it's rather impossible for me to pick one. Just like it's impossible for me to pick a favorite Fellowship member, or even a favorite overall character. :confused: :blush:

I voted Merry - It was between Merry and Pippin, and Pippin is just a bit too obsessed with food for me :-D No offence to Pippin lovers, or anything :-D

I adore all of them, but Pippin is my favorite. Sam is a close second, but that scene where Pippin sings to Denethor mesmerizes me. I've listened to it over and over on my RotK soundtrack. :headphones:

My favorite hobbit is Merry aka Dominic Monaghan because his character is so easy to love and to understand. i also like the actor that plays him quite a lot too!
