That's really the only beauty in that scene if you ask me.
Truthfully, I always thought they were colored contacts until I found out they were his real, breathtaking, gorgeous eyes. (think I had enough adjectives??)

"aye"
"Aye"
"AYE!"
You can clearly see when Eariel isn't here. We just need her to keep this thread alive!

*ta-dum* Eariel to the rescue! (I got back from vacation yesterday night.) Thanks Forever, I take that as a compliment. Oh yes-- "Aye!" *in loud, resounding voice *
Btw, I loved, and I mean loved that youtube video! It was amazing to see song i love so much given a LotR related meaning. For one thing, i sort of feel the same way about Frodo. He's gone (in one way, at least), but he still has all of me. Still, I'd rather love and have to lose, than never love at all (like Tennyson--or, I think it was him --says). I think that on this Earth, love can't really be separated from pain. That sounds pessimistic, but I'm not trying to be. What I mean is, we shouldn't be afraid to love--it can be the most wonderful thing in the world (I learned that mainly from falling in love with our beloved LotR protagonist--lol interesting way of doing it, i guess). However, since the world isn't perfect, it opens us up to the sorrow of parting. I believe this world isn't all there is, though, so there's hope.
Well, as you can see, I like ponder things relating to the meaning of life in my spare time. (And I'm not kidding--it really does interest me, lol.)
Speaking of Frodo, I got the RotK extended edition for my birthday! I'm so excited. (Now I can look at all those special features... )

Aww, Eariel! Soo glad you're back! I really miss someone when you're not here

Same thing. Everybody tells you you're crazy, you cannot be in love with a fictional character. But still, in my heart, he does exist (=but you still have all of me) Quote: ( Still, I'd rather love and have to lose, than never love at all (like Tennyson--or, I think it was him --says). Oh boy, you just exactly got the way I think about it. Aragorn nailed it: "In sorrow we must go, but not in despair. Behold! We are not bound forever to the circles of this world, and beyond them is more than memory." Quote: (Well, as you can see, I like ponder things relating to the meaning of life in my spare time. Hey, that's great! I just love all of the specials on the EEs.
And btw: Happy Birthday!
Oh, Eariel, I thought it might interest you: There's currently a poetry contest at the contest section. In case you'd like to enter.

Nice to find someone who shares so many of my ideas. As for Frodo not being "real," though...Have you heard of Leaf by Niggle (a non-lotr-related story Tolkien wrote)? I haven't read it myself, but i hear that it's about a painter who wanted to paint a leaf, which grew into a twig, which grew into a branch, and so on. He wasn't able to finish his work on Earth, but when he died, he found his tree in heaven, and it was a real tree. If I understand correctly, Niggle symbolizes Tolkien, who thought of his mythology as a tree. So anyway, my point is: i wouldn't necessarilly(spelling?) give up hope about ever meeting a fictional character that you love, because we don't know everything that will happen beyond the World. I may sound crazy, but I'll have you know I'm rather proud of it. lol
Oooh, there's a poetry contest? I must hurry over there! I love writing poetry! Thanks for telling me.

That actually sounds really deep. The book sounds really cool. I wonder where you can get it?
And you should be proud of your craziness Eariel!
I'm just glad people are posting here again.

Me too. There have been times when I think, "Where are you guys? Have I been abandoned to my fate?" Lol, sorry. Just kidding, but it is nice to have the club going strong again.
I would like to know where you can get it, too. I'd like to read it--I just don't own it yet. Well, I suppose I could always check the library.
Thank you, I am proud of my craziness. My personality is sort of an interesting blend because I can be silly and random, but I also enjoy thinking deep thoughts. At least, that's what I've observed about myself. Lol Randomness is this forum's strong point.

You're so right . For some reason, this thought makes me cry. But just ignore me.
I haven't read the book either, but I've heard of it. It's quite interesting, because Tolkien broke "his own rules", so to say. He said he hated allegories, but wrote one himself
There's nothing weird about being both random and thoughtful, I think. I'm kinda the same...
Eariel, read this:

and tell them what your opinion is.
And talking about links, one of you guys would like to claim a graphic? *hinthint*

There are still some left. * promotion!*

Has anyone heard anything about what Elijah's up to??
Oh shut, sorry! I didn't mean to break up a conversation. Sometimes I talk and don't think.

That's okay, Itarilde. I haven't heard much actually, although we could always check A&F. (Forever, I posted on that thread btw. )
