Yes, I'm pretty sure all the other actors except John got the tatto. He just didn't want to is what I heard.

I'm actually a bit dissapointed that on that page there are pictures where they show the tattoos cause wasn't it the idea that they never show the tattoos to a camera? :D

^ that was the idea, but i heard that an interviewer tricked sean astin into showing his by lying and saying that elijah wood already had, and after that they all decided the rule didn't need to apply any more.

You know, it didn't occur to me that the tattoos might spell out "nine" instead of the number 9 - I feel kinda dumb now. :-D

No, it's definitely the word "nine", I've learned Tengwar and that's what that symbol spells. See?
