I have a nice story I want to share with you...it may be a bit weird but well, well it goes like this:
I have had some really bad problems with eating disorders for many years, I was convinced that I never was going to get well. When I saw the LOtR movies I tought Liv was sooo beautiful and people even said that I looked like her ...even though I'm not so sure about that . Well, last year I came over an article about Liv talking about her weight and how she refused to follow the Hollywood standard, and then there was a picture of her where you could see her curves and I just tought "she must be the most beautiful person ever". That was a reel turning point for me because I finally understod that you don't have to have a "perfect" body to be beautiful and I finally after so many years of misery I started to get better. Today I have a almost normal relationship to food and weight . So today I'm a big fan of Liv and I think she is such a good role model for young girls Thank you for reading this and thanks to Liv!

*nods in agreement* I'm happy that there are people out there who place their values right and are able to do it with such a good heart that they inspire us. Going through eating disorders for many years must have been tough..

Eating disorders were probably the worst period of my life (though it was MUCH shorter than yours) - I kinda went from one extreme to the other and now actually have the sense to imagine Gollum on the catwalk rather than let my mind get corrupted by the media. Liv was just sooo darn right about staying true to herself and I can only admire her for spending time with her son rather than at the gym.

I'm glad that you are doing better to Aftenstjerne! Liv is such an awsome person and actress, and I agree she is a great role model! She stays true to herself, I really admire that about her.

Nobody should try and judge "normality" from magazines. All the pics are so edited in them-it's ridiculous!
I kind of hate the way that in the media people that are skinny are dubbed anorexic. And, although a lot of the time they are , it sucks when you're skinny like me and people think you must suffer from an eating disorder because you're like that. Even if it's all said jokingly.
Liv's a role model for me too, she's overcome so much with her unusual childhood and she's true to herself. Not to mention a great mum!
It's a pity that she's started to smoke again though-that isn't something that I admire

I know just what you mean! I'm naturally small-boned and have a fast motabolism, and when I first meet people they're usually all "Wow, you're so skinny! Are you anorexic or something?" And of course I'm not, once they see me eat something they forget that notion very quickly (haha), but it's still really irritating...

Liv Tyler is one of the beautiful people in Hollywood that I actually admire, because she seems like a really cool person (except for the smoking thing) and a good role model, not to mention an incredible actress with a good voice. I think I might be one of the few people who actually find her the prettiest out of the three main female actors in LOTR.

Wow that's such an awesome story Aftenstjerne. I really admire Liv Tyler for staying true to herself and not following all the Hollywood trends. She is such a good role model. And I agree with what you say *Eowyn* about Gollum and the models. They are kinda similar, because they are incredibly thin and not beautiful at all.

Yep, I agree. I think Liv is really one of the most beautiful actresses on earth and I think that she's a pretty good role model as she stays true to herself and does not copy most of the other Hollywood stars and celebs who wish to be as thin as possible. I really like her attitude.
