Yay, more celebrators! I know, Forever, i miss TT too. I still kind of like the sticky idea announcing his birthday... We'd need to decide who would pm a mod about that, tho, and also we should decide who should be in charge of the graphics contest, and if we're going to hold it in the contests section or here. (We could just make various Lij-related graphics and post them here, and not necessarily make it a contest. Whatever people want to do, tho.)

Edit: I was also thinking we could tell about songs or things like that that remind us of him, share memories of Lij-related situations we've experienced, etc... As far as songs go, the first line of Taking Over Me by Evanescence ("You don't remember me but I remember you') reminds me of when i got to see him at the ORC convention, because it's something i definitely won't forget, but i didn't get to actually meet him, and thus he probably wouldn't remember me. Still, it was wonderful to see him in person, and hear him talk and all...

I'd love to enter the contest myself, so it's probably not the best idea to have me hosting it. But if there's no one else willing to do so, I will.

Songs that remind me of Frodo...let's see. I know what you mean about Taking over me, Eariel, but in my opinion, Frodo and Evanescence don't fit that well together. Evanescence is a bit too dark for Frodo, if you know what I mean - but that's just my opinion.
One song that always reminds me of him is "Bright Eyes" (I wonder why ), and many others that I can't recall at the moment.

I agree in that Evanescence can be kind of dark, but to me that fits with what Frodo had to go through, in Mordor and all. That is, it fits in some ways, at least--i can see what you mean, tho. But anyway, i can also see why Bright Eyes would remind you of him, just from looking at the title...
Speaking of songs, i had said i would post some of my Lij-related ones, so...here's one i wrote a couple years ago on his b-day, fittingly. You see, a week previously i had seen him and Sean at ORC (on Jan. 21st, the anniversary of which was yesterday), and i was feeling kind of sad that it was over. So a week later, on Lij's b-day, i went on a walk at twilight, which i'm prone to doing lol, and wrote this song. And that kind of helped me feel less down and all. The song is basically supposed to be talking to him, but toward the end especially the line kind of starts to fade between whether i'm talking to Lij or to Frodo. lol So i'll explain a few Elvish terms in the song, and then i'll post it. Hope you like.

You know, we could just have people make graphics and stuff without it having to be a contest, since we're short on time and all. Whatever you guys want, tho. I don't think we have to have the celebrations done by the day after his birthday, which is good because we've barely started. After all, Lij's b-day is worth partying for long and hard! )
