I really don't like Orlando Bloom. He annoys me.

Sean Austin is not qualified enough to be a star in this movie.

Sean Bean REALLY annoys me cuz he plays Boromir. Maybe if he played someone else I wouldn't mind him.

Elijah Wood does not fit into the Frodo character, and Liv didn't fit into what I think the Evenstar looked like.
I can get why Aragorn may have been confused kissing Liv in a dream and kissing his horse. Similar faces.

Lol Hanasian, I must agree. I chose Elijah wood simply because he plays a much larger role in the movie and so I see him being changed out making a much larger positive impact. Liv Tyler needed to be cast different too, but honestly, if they had ONLY put Arwen's character where she was in the book and left her out of the other movie parts she would have been much more bearable simply due to the small bit of screen time she would have got.

I didn't particularly like David whenham as Faramir. I feel like his face was very blank most of the time and he missed some of the wisdom and shrewdness of Faramir. I guess he wasn't clear cut enough for me. His expressions were always very vague.

Part of it was due to the crappy writing they gave Faramir, that made those who did not read the book think he was a jerk. :grr:

Also, i probably would never have been satisfied with Faramir's actor, because he is my most favorite ever! :) Trying to put him on a screen automatically takes away from him.

I get that. Nobody could ever really fit the character we have in our head from reading the books. I did take David's 'somewhat expressionless look as being deep and thoughtful.

Again these hard questions. Okay, I think my least favourite actor for the trilogy is probably Marton Czokas. He just acts somehow stiff-ish way. Like he's not in the role completely. That's not so problematic because the real problem is that he doens't resemble my imagined version of Celeborn at all. I guess he just looks wrong then. I imagined Celeborn to be a "male version of Galadriel" a genuine and a warm-hearted person to whom a ruler is just a role. The movie version is more like "I'm a mighty elf-lord, look I've got a fancy robe". It's just.. nah.

I have to agree with you, Nienor, I thought Celeborn came across as a bit of a dolt which is a shame because he's supposed to be one of the wisest elves in Middle-earth.

Mind you, in fairness to the actor, PJ directed him to act in a certain way, and chose the footage he used in the films.

Yeah, that. It's PJ all again. The actors act how the director wants them to act, so this too could be blamed on him.

Yes, sadly Celeborn got the short stick when it came to these movies. The EE did give him a bit more, but the theatrical cut was horrifying. Can't do much with a crappy screenplay.

I chose others, because a thought popped into my mind:
PJ did cameos in all movies. So the screenplay writer and director who got much right but also messed up several things royally would automatically be my least favorite actor.
But then (was he subliminally doing penance here?) he did play the corsair captain who takes Legolas’s arrow at Pelargir (RoTK theatrical version too or only EE? It’s been a while). So one can wallow in a vicarious sense of just revenge from this scene (there were some snide comments on his “Joe Cocker” performance while going down …).

 Yeah.. it was a good thing to see, bit overacted. I think it's only in the EE, but then, if I watch those movies, I watch the EE. The worst PJ appearance was he in Bree in th eHobbit, where takes a 'fvck you' snarling bite of his carrot. That was a very crappy part of a crappy movie.

Ah, yeah ... but wasn't that a repeat of his cameo in Bree in FoTR?
