It occurred to me that there is a (widely overused) drooling smiley. However, as far as I know, there is no swooning smiley. Swooning is for Victorian girls. We chicks of the 21st century prefer to drool over hot guys. :-D

Swooning is a term that doesn't give the impression that we're another annoying species. ;)

But I mean, if you much prefer drooling, by all means --- rock on.

 We aren't an annoying species? Really? Wow.....well if we want to give a good impression we don't have to call it drooling. We could call it...um....open-mouthed admiration. Doesn't that sound more refined?

I think I'd much prefer swooning. Drooling is just disgusting but, if I swoon maybe my beloved [Orli] will catch me in his strong arms. *swoons*

*blinks, then falls about laughing* The definition of 'drooling',
"2. to show excessive pleasure or anticipation of pleasure.
3. to talk foolishly.
--n 4. saliva running down from one's mouth; drivel."

I laughed so hard at that, good definition there Kit!

perhaps.....
1. babbling like a fool: whilst drooling, should be added?
or
2. looking sheepishly?
or
3. eyes darting restlessly?

all results of someday, meeting someone, from the drool/swoon board :duh:

I don't think it was a waste of time, Kit....those were very good definitions :-D

Yes, I think there should be a swooning smiley. After all, a quarter of people polled say swooning is preferable to drooling.

Perhaps swooning is more elegant in real life....drooling is better for pictures. After all, if you swooned every time you saw a cute picture, it would take you forever to surf the net! :confused2:

You are sorta describing my normal state, not from swooning, but from sheer clumsiness. People don't say I'm clumsy, but that just means I have a lot of practice falling and pretending that I didn't fall. *ahem* I'm not clumsy, I just slipped on, um, a puddle on the sidewalk. Yeah.
