What do you think of Christopher Lee's reaction?

I understand his reaction, I don't know why PJ cut the scene either... I think I wouldn't have reacted by not wanting to go to the premiere but I think I would also have been quite angry and I would have asked PJ why he has done it that way...

Well, I can understand that he was really angry when he found out his scenes didn't make it. He loves the storie and also the movie, and now he wasn't even mentioned for his work in RotK. But more than two years after the release of the movie he should forget it, I think.

Good artice! I think Christopher is a realistic man. Every fan of LotR worldwide knows this scene right now. So if he wasn't already, He'll get over it because of that fact.

I think he's being a bit tight, I mean, he wasn't a major role in ROTK anyway and PJ had to make a lot of sacrifices , it's understanable he's angry, but surely he can forgive him. He was in both of the other films, and from what I know, he only had 1 scene in ROTK anyway.

Well, I think he had a bit of a reason to be upset, first of all he spent a lot of time on the scenes in that movie, and to cut him out completly?...anyways, there is also the fact that is a huge Tolkien fan himself, he most likely thought that cutting ALL of those scenes was going too far away from the book. I do think it is sad that he does'nt plan on every going back to that area again. :( Chris is such a good actor. I think he is my favorite actor, he has such realistic performances, and is so fit for the rolls he gets.

yes, I also think that he was so angry, because he was such a huge Tolkien fan and Saruman actually still plays a very important part in the book, especially at the ending...

I can understand him being a bit put out about not making it into the third film. I mean, he is a huge fan of Tolkien, and LotR is possibly the film he has most wanted to do. So not being in the finale one, and not having you characters story completed, could be a bit of a bummer.

But I think the media plays things up alot. If you look at the things that are directly quoted, he doesnt actually say he hates PJ for it. He just says he doesnt understand. And ''What's the point in going to the premiere?' could easily be refering to the fact that he didnt feel like he was actually part of the film, because he is never actually seen, and his voice in never heard.

All the stuff about 'never fogiving' , 'chilly relationship' and 'fuming about his character and a dramatic death scene being left out' is entirely the media. Nothing Christopher Lee had anything to do with.

So I think it is possibly another example of the media distorting things. Cos I hate to think of our beloved Fellowship and Co. hating each other.

It is Peter's film and Christopher Lee has to show the respect that. He wanted to show him maybe but the duration of movie did not allow it. but if I put myself into Lee's shoes, I would never forgive him too. However, he had to act as a professional.
