I just got back from seeing it and I figured that I would be the first to start this topic. *cough* I foresaw this.

As some know, Sean Bean had the honour to play the King of all Gods in the film. The one and only Zeus *insert epic music here*. He was only in the film for a short while but I think he did alright. Sean certainly captured the fact the Zeus is pretty ticked off and that seems to be all that was really written for him. The end after the bolt was returned it was alright. When it comes to mythological figures, I much prefer Sean for Odysseus. :P
As I said, I have never read the books but I hear the movie is very different (so don't expect much if you see it and have read the books). One of the things that I would have to say bothered me was that a lot of mythological data was missing or just thrown out the window. The FXs for the movie were well done and aspects of the storyline caught my attention. I loved how the entrance to the Underworld was in Hollywood. I wouldn't doubt it actually. This place can be HE-double hockey stick.

I would recommend seeing the movie at least once. Take it for what it is: a film, and it will be enjoyable.

I saw it on Valentines day. I basically forced my fiance to take me :p. The movie was alright, the book is a lot better. They changed it so much it might as well have had a different title. The thing that ticked me off the most was that Hades in the book does not want the lightening bolt! His helm of darkness was stolen and he wanted that back. :annoyed2: I kind of like the fact that Hades in the book is not portrayed as the devil. He's the lord of the Underworld but, the Underworld is hell and Heaven kind of combined. There are sections for the good and sections for the bad.

Anyways, Sean Bean's scenes (though they were very few) made it worth seeing for me. Also Kevin McKidd is HOTNESS :p.

Argh, I want to see the movie just for Sean Bean. Going from Odysseus to Zeus? Man, hasn't this guy learned a lesson about hubris? :p

@ Kit: No, he has not. :P But we love him for it.
You should try and see it if you can. I've come to terms with the differences in mythology and it really is an interesting movie.

@ BR: Seeing Sean made it worth it for me too. :P As I said to Kit, I've come to terms on the differences from original mythology. I'm a bit of a mythology nerd so I get a little mad when stuff is changed but... that is a different story. XP Yeah, Kevin McKidd is pretty good looking too. ;)

Just saw the movie today, Lady Rinoa!

It was very enjoyable and I laughed out loud at some of the parts. Esp at Grover, he was just hilarious.

"Wish you'd told me. Burnin' money, WE'RE IN A RECESSION, MAN!"
"I'm gonna give you my HOODIE! Not my jacket!"

*I am late.*

Whoo! I'm glad you liked it. :D I agree, Grover was hilarious!
"You know I can't go with her watching me!" *holds up head & the maid outside screams*

I also laughed as soon I heard "Poker Face" in the background at the casino. I ended up singing along with it too. (Now I have to listen to that song. Haha. *sings along with it*)

At one time I loved Percy Jackson and Logan Lerman, but now I've changed my interests to the Lord Of The Rings. But seeing Sean Bean in the movie, wow it was terrific.
