I
loved The Island! Saw it on television the last
two Saturdays (thank goodness I get the US Superstations, since it was playing on the Chigaco one, which was on channel 61 in my neck of the woods). I hate to admit that I only wanted to see it for the title (which wasn't actually about an island, but I was still intrigued enough to actually watch it, and wasn't disappointed). It kind of reminded me of
Jurassic World, with part of the names of the two main characters (Delta and Echo, sound familiar? If not, they are the names of two of the Raptors in
Jurassic World). Did you know it also starred Ethan Phillips, who played Neelix on
Star Trek: Voyager (had to look that one up on IMDB)? Sean Bean, of course, played a
Dr. Wu type character named Dr. Merrick, who again, got killed! I wonder if that's hard to take: first, he gets killed by getting shot with arrows by Lurtz in LotR, then he gets himself hanged in
The Island (but not before trying to kill Ewan McGregor's character first, which, of course, he doesn't succeed).
