A Loss of Hope is a Vampire role play site set in the present day. Please be warned that swearing and blood/gore is used quite a lot on the site. If that offends you, you may want to go elsewhere.
The following is the plot of the site. It has been edited slightly for content.
Pain exploded in what had once been Lena's left leg. She dared a peek downward, and what she saw made her pain double.
What she saw was there was nothing to see. Blood gushed out of her ruined hip, soaking her broken right leg. She glanced around, the world graying. Her leg lay about four feet away.
She began to scream. She didn't even know that she could scream that loud. She didn't know her lungs could hold that much air. But she didn't care. All she cared about was that her
bloody leg was off.
"Silence." said Seth with contempt. "You brought this upon yourself girl. You interfered with us and a notorious vampire escaped."
Lena continued to scream. Seth stepped forward and grabbed the front of her shirt, pulling her close enough that they could kiss if that had been his intention.
"Did you hear girl?" he breathed in a voice that could chill the blood. Seth slapped her across her face, narrowing his eyes. Her screams receded to hiccupping sobs. "I said you let a notorious vampire escape. You should count yourself lucky that I got to you first. He'll kill you just like he's going to kill the rest of the people in London. And it's all your fault. I though you ought to know that before you die."
"Screw... you..." she said, turning her head and spitting out a mouthful of blood.
"I dare say you aren't up to screwing anyone anymore little girl." said Seth, putting a bullet through her right eye.

Seth was upset. All that trouble he had gone to get Marcus Cassidy dead, and she had walked in. And Cassidy had escaped. That meant trouble for London, and trouble for him. He'd be facing trouble when he got back to HQ, no doubt at all. Not that he hadn't been in trouble up there before.
But he was thirsty.
Goddang it, I should've drunk her blood. I'm bloody thirsty. he thought, before striding down the street silently.
Seth was out on the town for the night, forget what HQ would say. He needed a drink.
Answer the door, Destiny's Knocking
Vampires are becoming more brazen, especially in England where the problem is the worst. Immunda officials are turning up dead or changed. Marcus Cassidy, an notorious and extremely dangerous vampire, has once again slipped though Immundra's fingers. Even Seth Maurus, the vampire who works for Immunda, was unable to stop him. But Cassidy is only one of the many vampires overrunning London and the rest of the world.
Important stuff to know
It doesn't matter who or where you are, vampires are only just starting to become so brazen as to kill members of Immunda or Malum or one of the other anti-vampirism groups. A vampire group called Danse Macabre plans to take over, so Vampires are dominant rather than subservient.
In this changing world, assume that everyone is your enemy. In such a world a child could rise up and kill his sire.
The fire, it will rise up high
And burn all what the guns forgot

History
Vampires have existed since ages long past. No one, not even the oldest vampire, knows who the first one was. But there was one, a vampire who brought this curse upon the world. Perhaps it was simply a human who lusted for the blood of others, and so cursed and was cursed. Perhaps it was a sinner so terrible that Hell would not let him pass through its gates. Perhaps it was a human who desired eternal life and power, who signed his soul away. Perhaps Cain, perhaps Lucifer himself.
Whatever the origins, vampires have always been present. And though scientists and governments deny their existence, they are very,
very real.
There are 4 vampire hunting rings around the world. Immunda, the English ring, has existed for hundreds of years. Malum, the German ring, has existed since World War II. Shyam and Kasumi have existed for longer than any records go. But they are fundamentally the same.
They all exist for the sole reason of killing vampires.
It was not until recently, though, that any of them had any reason to show themselves to the public.
But they can't stay secret anymore.
Danse Macabre, a group of vampires, plans not a massacre, not a battle.
They plan an eradication. An extermination.
They plan to get rid of humans, permanently.
Important People/Groups
Immunda - Vampire Hunters in England. Immunda means 'impure' in Latin.
Malum - Vampire Hunters in Germany. Malum means 'evil' in Latin.
Shyam - Vampire Hunters in India. Shyam means 'dark, black, blue' and is another name for the Hindu god Krishna.
Kasumi - Vampire Hunters in Japan. Kasumi is a girls name which means 'mist'.
US Gov't - The United States Government is against these vampire hunters, saying they cause problems and are unnecessary. The tell the public that there is no such thing as vampires.
Danse Macabre - Vampire extremists group wish to take over, making Vampires dominant over humans.
Seth Maurus - head hit man for Immunda. Seth Maurus is a vampire.
