I have recently started a website entitled 'The Chamber of Records.' The website itself ( http://www.chamber-of-records.com) is still under construction, but the forum ( http://www.chamber-of-records.com/forum) is up and running. The site is dedicated to the Lore of J.R.R. Tolkien, and Middle-earth related games and modifications. One of the main features will be something I have chosen to call, 'The Records of Arda'. The first 'book', The Book of Arms is up as a work in progress, and two more books are planned, entitled 'The Book of Armour' and 'The Book of Warfare'.
I hope you will check it out!
Thanks,
Aradan

Greetings!
There have been some quite substantial things going on over at The Chamber of Records. First we have the first ever 'The Chamber of Records Middle-earth Modding Interview', where Wlesmana, leader of Lord of the Rings: Total War talks about his mod and how he stumbled into the modding scene.
Then the guys over at Middle Earth: Total War put up an absolutely massive preview with an amazing amount of screenshots spread over eleven threads. My own personal favourites are the Noldoli High Lords:
And lastly, we have the:

CORCAST #1 - From Weathertop

Interview with Encaitar: Leader of Middle Earth: Total War

The Chamber of Records are extremely proud to present the first ever CORCAST. This is a Middle-earth modding and Lore podcast, which we hope to put out on a regular basis. In this first CORCAST we have a treat for all Tolkien fans, but especially those of you who are interested in the Total War games: an hour long (more than an hour, in fact!) interview with Encaitar Arandur, the leader of the highly anticipated modification for Rome: Total War, Middle Earth: Total War.
A note from the host: We threw this together. None of us have ever done anything like this before. So don't be too harsh on us! We really would like, as I say in the CORCAST, your comments and submissions. You can respond in this thread, and we also list below some ideas you might consider for submissions. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the first CORCAST – Palantir
So without further ado, here is where you can download the podcast: CORCAST #1 – From Weathertop

The Chamber of Records 2006 Christmas Contest
I’m proud to announce ‘The Chamber of Records 2006 Christmas Contest’. Armagan from TaleWorlds.com, the creator of Mount & Blade, has very graciously donated, not one, but two serials for his great game as prizes. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Mount & Blade (M&B), I can tell you that it is a highly addictive action/rpg-hybrid which boasts some of the most awesome medieval combat found in any game, and the only game which – to my knowledge at least – has fully functional mounted combat. Even though the game is still in beta (version 0.801 came out a couple of days ago), you can buy it as part of their business model where you support the development of the game (as the dev. team is small), and in return you get the game at a discount price of $18 (currently), and all future updates for free. It is also very stable, and above all, fun!
The contest has two categories:
- General Art: In this category you can submit Middle-earth related art. This includes writings (essays, short-stories, poetry, songs), drawings, paintings, graphical art, etc.
- COR Art: This is the category where you submit artistic work that can be used in the promotion, or the day-to-day running, of COR. This includes signatures, userbars, avatars, wallpapers, etc.

Regards,
Apoc

The Chamber of Records 2007 Christmas Contest
It’s time for another ‘The Chamber of Records Christmas Contest’, and this year we’ve got a gift certificate at Amazon in the amount of $40 (ca. £20/€30) as the prize. The winner will be able to spend it on whatever he (or she) might wish for, though we will of course recommend that it be spent on something Tolkien-related.
This years contest only has one category: Middle-earth related writing. There are no genre or length limitations – anything goes as long as it is written: poems, AARs, essays, short stories, etc. You are only allowed to make one entry.
To enter the contest, make a post in this thread with your submission. Discussions about the contest and the work submitted will be held in this thread.
