I have a question for anyone here who has their own paid site.. and are/can host(ing) someone.

My two sites (Elven-Runes.com and HaldirOfLórien.com) are currently being hosted by my cousin, and he's offering me all the space that I desire with no link-back required, so it's perfect! But I'd like to be able to buy my own host so that I can do whatever I want with it and host whoever I like with it... some of my RL friends are in need of a proper site and host for their personal use, and they really don't want to use any of those free ones (Freewebs, Geocities, etc) and it'd be nice if I could help them out. I also hate pestering my cousin whenever something messes up, because he's a super busy man.
I'm wondering how much you paid for yours and how much space you have, because I'm a little err... stuck... and not sure what to pick that's affordable for me.

Help would be lovely!

Well, I'm hosted by GoDaddy on their Economy Plan...I have 5 GB space (which is plenty for me ), and I can add up to 5 extra FTP users, so right now I am hosting my own sites, as well as hosting 5 other people I think it cost about 40-45 dollars a year

doteasy.com 25$ a year and with free domain. I used this about 2 years ago and it was great no ads nothing.
