Running a website can take a lot of work, basically you're asking someone to do all the work for you. So, you probably won't get much of a response. You also might want to mention what kind of site this is. I'd recommend that you learn a little, read up on html, practice with it. My personal oppinion, is that's it better to learn all the coding with your own research than have someone tell you. You'll end up figuring out your own ways to do things and have a more creative site. Best of luck. |

I agree with Frodofan a website is a lot of hard work but it can be very rewarding. I would recommend Geocities as that's what I use. It's free so you don't need to worry about paying. My website has only just got it's first layout - which was actually made by someone else. Because for my site I had a coloured background and some white strips were placed on it (I made the lines in PSP and uploaded them to the pages). It was simple but enabled me to add to the site - which was easy as geocities does all the html for you. As I now have a proper layout I am now learning the very basic html so I can add things to the layout pages. Although I wished I had had a layout to start with, I think it helped to get my site in some sort of order first - rather than plunging into layouts, html AND a site all at once. I am very much a novice in site making but I will try and help you an dgive you hints and tips as you need them. ![]() |

As everyone has said, websites can be alot of work. But what I've found is the most work is content, and finding interesting things to update about. Layouts and organisation can be a challenge at first, but once you've sorted things out they tend to be less of a problem. Freewebs has templates which are easy to use, if you dont want to have to cope with all the coding at first. They also dont have adds, which is the only thing I dont like about geocities. But I've never used it, so I dont know how easy/hard it is to use. HtmLite.com and Draac.com are sites I recommend if you want to learn html. Right now I just dont have to time to make and maintain a whole site for you, but if you need any html help, or would like a layout or something, I'm happy to help. Just PM me! But before you even start a site with content and such, I suggest you learn the very basics of html. They include how to link, put in images, define font and background colours and maybe how to create a table. Once you've got the hang of that, you shouldn't really need someone else to constantly help you with a site, once you have a layout sorted out. As I said before, if you need help, feel free to PM me. I cant help you a layout and any fiddly bits of coding you need, but I already have enough trouble finding time to update my own site. ![]() |
