Hey can someone like give me a step by step of how to download a font I did it before, but when we reformated our computer we lost all out cool fonts and I would like to have some for my banner program. So if anyone can help me I will really appreaciate it. |

Okay ... I have Microsoft Windows so I´ll explain only for it. 1.: Go to eg www.dafont.com and download some fonts [zip. files]. Save them to a special map like Fonts or something [I save to My Documents -> Fonties] 2.: Open the downloaded file, select the fonts [they come into ttf files usually] and click EXTRACT TO >>> C:/Windows/Fonts That´s it I guess ... |

Alright thanks, but I downloaded it tryed to open it everytime I tryed it just created another of it on the deskstop. Whats going on? And its still a Zip. I have windows 98. |

When you double click it, it should unzip and give you the truetype file that you export to Fonts. |

Maybe...I need to download winzip cuase that didnt work either... |

I actually do it another way. Knowing me it probably takes twice as long. When you download it open the zip file in whatever program you have. Usually there will be one that comes with the computer, even if it isnt winzip. Extract the truetype file to any location. Then go to start>control panel>fonts. Click file>install new font. Then select the true type file from wherever you've saved it, and click okay. And your done.
