Number 01:::
Evangeline Lilly____ I’m loving the general colorization of the hair, eyes and skin --- beautiful brush work. I love the border design because it goes so well with the general black font, but the background doesn’t really… it doesn’t add to your work --- it actually may or may not take away from the vividness of her eyes (which I love). But I tend to overanalyze things. I like the pink lips --- if only It was a more matching shade, it would be great.

The most difficult thing for me (and this will sound very criticizing, if I haven’t started sounding so already), the dress has it’s pros and cons. I love how colorful you made the designs on her dress, but the overall shade--- that light blue shade --- just doesn’t go with the rest of the colorization. When I see this image, I just see the pink of her lips and the blue of the dress is clash and clash that I can focus on the beauty of the entry.

Emily de Ravin ____ Now this one is absolutely gorgeous. She practically glows! The shading and darkness of the face is very consisting, very good. The blending into of the hair is natural with how much light is being used and how bright everything is. The sky-cloudy background matches very well with her dress, earrings, eyes. Very vivid coloring in her eyes, most especially, very realistic. I love it.

Number 02 ::::
Maggie Grace____ Definitely one of the loveliest entries, the colorization of the hair is perfect, and it has a good coincided shade with the skin, but not exactly the same because of course the hair and skin are not the same and should not be the same color. The color tone of her skin is beautiful, and her eyes are beautifully clear, they literally jump out at me and shines. The patters and the background illuminates it very simply, but very well --- I like the overlapping patterning of the stripes by her name and the background patterns. It’s just all very elegant. The dress color threw me off a bit because of the blue but it really works. It grows on me the more I look at it.

Michelle Trachtenberg___ The one thing I noticed a lot about this entry was how well the colorization of her top matched with her grey eyes. If it was only her grey eyes alone, I don’t think I would’ve noticed it as much --- so the top really brings it out. Her hair looks very natural, I love the red-shade to brown shadow shade and the background is very simple, and cute! Very simple yet beautifully detailed --- great job!

Number 03 ::::
Evangeline Lilly___ Pretty in pink indeed, I adore the pink shade, I don’t think I could’ve gone with the black linings on the design ( but that’s part of the original image, so I can understand why you didn’t try to touch those---it’d be very difficult ). The skin tone and the hair color fits very well, I like the vividness of the eyes---but it looks almost artificial. The pink of the lips seems too dark for the lightness of the pink dress. And I don’t see enough highlights on the lips, it’s that left side of the lips (to a person looking at her) that should be a bit lighter on the upper lip. The general left side should be a tidbit lighter due to where the light-source is coming from.

Number 04 ::::
Evangeline Lilly ____ I love the style of these colorizations, it has the grainy, old feel to it. All the features to Evangeline are beautifully colored, I loved the dark shadows, and the dark hair, very different from the others. And I like the detail shading of the skin on her shoulder. This was the first entry as well that I noticed the piece of hair across her lips, and it’s a nice realistic touch. A lot of the other entries haven’t really emphasized that, or perhaps they thought they didn’t need to. Can’t help that you misspelled Evangeline’s name though---but that’s okay, this isn’t a spelling contest!

Emily de Ravin____ This makes me feel like it’s a very old photograph --- it has that 80’s style, I think--- beautiful beautiful work. The “Caught in the In Between” is an additional plus given the nostalgic style. Well, this entry is very much like your Evangeline one so I guess I shouldn’t repeat myself on the good details. :D
Number 05::::
Hayden Panettiere____ I really like the effects, though I think you could’ve focused more on the colorization than the background, borders, etc --- the skin tone is very nice, a bit too pale though compared to the bright pink and the vivid blonde. The eyes a very beautiful, though it might’ve worked better if it was a darker shade to match the green borders. Other than that, great work!

Number 06 ::::
Michelle Trachtenberg____ Adore the brown hair--- very beautiful. The red top is bright, and very neatly done --- very pretty!! The skin tone is beautiful, very matching. I LOVED the patterned “wallpaper” in the back with it still showing up on the shadowed areas. Very nice. One thing that bothers me is how much of a contrast there is with her eyes, the right eye is a shiny yellow color while the left is darker, perhaps more grey --- I know it’s kind of hiding behind her hair, but I think it should be as vivid as the right.

Number 07::::
Evangeline Lilly___ The red hair is BEAUTIFUL. I could totally see Evangeline Lilly as a red-head. I see her too much with brown hair. :p Her eyes are very well done as well --- it looks very natural. Her lips, though---- I don’t know, the color around the right corner doesn’t seem gradual enough as it gets lighter to the left side. The skin is a pretty decent color to coincide to the red hair. I don’t know if I would’ve made the patterns in the dress THAT red though---perhaps a more darker color to compliment her hair.

Ali Larter____ This is the only Ali Larter colorization isn’t it? Very neat --- that means you have ORIGINALITY on your side. :) Beautiful colorization on the hair ( be careful in the hair-split though ) and the pink matches well, despite it being pretty bright. The blue eyes are piercing and totally awesome. The skin definitely looks great on her and it matches with EVERYTHING. Excellent job.

Number 08::::
Evangeline Lilly____ I really like the abstract coloring/texture thing to the whole entry. And maybe perhaps, it is too abstract. I guess it all depends on taste. To me, the whole right side leading to a more grainy, mono-color texture really gets me especially in how contrast it is to the colorization. Sometimes, the simplest is the best.

Number 09:;::
Kristen Bell_____ I definitely love the colorization, the different shades of each color compliment each other well!! Nothing much I can say really but great job on the colorization and the composition of the graphic!

Evangeline Lilly___ Beautiful, grainy style of colorizations, maybe that’s the effects, I don’t know ---- whatever it is, it turned out pretty good. I love how you’ve incorporated more effects by using your colorization---means you’re confident in your work, which is very good!

Number 10::::
Emily de Ravin___ First off, the wavy… motion effect really adds to the allure of the entry. Vivid colors, good skin colorization, excellent work! Keep practicing though, you can keep a finer detail on things like coloring the hair but keep that fine skin colorization at the scalp, etc. :)

Number 11::::
Emily de Ravin___This is probably the most powerful Emily de Ravin piece, simply because it’s very laid back but it expressed this deep, alluring emotion. I just love it. Whoever you are, excellent job!

Number 12::::
Maggie Grace___ Excellent colorization, very smooth, elegant, great theme with the incorporation of clouds in the background. I love how the shade of her eyes goes well with the blue of the background. :D Great work!!

Number 13::::
Maggie Grace___ I like the grainy coloring --- my only problem with it though, is the shade that the coloring goes from the skin into the hair --- it’s like the same shade, the same kind of palette and I can’t see the distinct difference between the two. Her eyes match well with the blue dress----but the faded pink/purple shade of her lips throws it off a bit. Great job!

Number 14::::
Maggie Grace___Most definitely my favorite entry of the entire contest. It has that artistic style, and great smooth techniques in the coloring. The extension of the skin/peachy color into that purple background is excellent. It adds to the main focus of your entry, and the coloring of the eyes is particularly original and unique putting in a kaleidoscope of colors! It’s simply BEAUTIFUL. Excellent, excellent job.

Michelle Trachtenberg___ Similar style to your Maggie Grace, though not as powerful I don’t think. I do love the background you’ve added to it and the color scene to go with it. The coloring of her top is particularly stylish---I love it. Great job again!!
