I have mine done! I hope it's wintery enough...
Wanderer
A weary wanderer clad in gray,
I tread the hard and leaf-strewn earth.
Slowly fading is the sunless day
Into a night devoid of mirth.
My mind nearly melds into this night.
The land is clear cut, hard and cold,
Diamond stars shedding the only light.
The trees whisper secrets untold.
Many find the winter far too stark
They think of it as death and tears.
But my heart finds peace in this dark
So long as stars can allay my fears.
The winter holds a piercing beauty
Which speaks to my wandering soul.
The beauty in dark I always see
For in the light am I made whole.
It ends a little abruptly, but I ran out of things to say...  _________________ <center> -In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song-

i promise promise promise i will get mine done. just finished my first semester at uni so i'm exhausted - slept most of the week. i will get down to writing tomorrow though.

Here is mine, did free verse for once.
Winter Spies
Tunnels in the snow,
They were spies for the secret goverment,
So secret that no one even knew about it.
Working long hours,
Doing nothing.
Covered by the horror of falling ash,
That bore a stark resemblance to snowflakes,
They bravely tackled that
Carrot Nosed Thing,
Sitting so innocently on their land.
Innocence my foot.
Sled's with engines
Whizzed all around,
Like motercycles on some dark avenue,
And they watched Mr. Frosty,
Suspect number one,
Stifling giggles when his hat blew off.
Tromping back to headquarters,
AKA home,
Where their mugs were filled to the brim with
Steaming,
Foaming,
Warming,
Hot chocolate. _________________ <center>
