Is there still spots left? pardon me, ARE there still spots left? *looks hopeful* I'm not really sure what to call it.
Edit: I made it a blend-y thing! I used art from Amy Brown - so pretty! it's too bad I had to post it here as a JPEG, that messes everything up.
I wrote it looking out my window at my pretty trees and listening to Loreena McKennit (very inspirational!)

Tanthoronial wrote: Lady Alias - I like that your poems on a picture... that's cool. At first I though it was a song heh, nice rhyming, you describe a very nice scene there! Great job! GaladrielLadyOfLight - Ahh the power of colored text! hehe, another beautiful non-rhyming poem, (I will make a poem in which I don't rhyme, I hope ) You poem also creates like a scene in the mind. I like how you said, 'Standing there stopped in dance' its a good line. Great poem! Good luck again everyone!! (sorry in a smily mood, heh)
Tanthoronial, I appreciate it that you took the time to compliment the contestants on their entries.
Oh, and IdrilFalastari - we're glad to take your entry.

Heh... its easy with all the good poems!
Lady Alias- No prob for the comment, and that's cool that you used to write songs!
IdrilFalastari- I do that when I write sometimes, I'll go outside and listen to music hoping to get inspiration for a poem or story. I love how you said, 'The wind is alive, I feel it in my fingers..., Around me the earth is breathing, And I am still' That's an awesome stanza!! Great poem!
Good luck!

Finally...I wrote somethng.
I'm glad poems dont have to rhyme, I used free verse.
Footsteps by Ellethwen
Softly trickles the water
In the clear streams
Of the forest
As she walks on the green grass
The leaves crunch beneath her feet
A wind sighs through the branches
A following footstep is heard
But what it may be no one knows
She turns around
But finds only
A fleeing shadow, a fleeting laugh
And lingering in the place where was
A following person
Is only a feel of something magical
She continues her walk
But once again
The footsteps pursue her
But nothing can be found
Of whom they belong to
She arrives at the hidden waterfall cave
Where noisy are the waters
And peering through the mists
She spies a figure standing below
She rushes to go see the person
But the figure has left
And once again all that remains
Is a spell of mystery
She still walks there
Searching ever
To find whom the footsteps belong to
But she will never find
The magic that takes them away

GaladrielLadyOfLight - No problem!
IdrilFalastari - No prob, and yeah they are all beautiful, oh that picture you used on your entry is gorgeous!
Ellethwen - I love the last stanza of your poem, saying she'll never find out who's foot steps they were. Free verse poems are alot of fun to write.. unfortunately I can usually not write them Ah well... it is a great poem!
Good luck!
