Wow, lots of new entries! I like trying to watch them all, but it will take a while!
And I actually like yours, Earwen-- it's pretty good.

Hey! Is this contest over? =( Couse I have a video too:
Sarah Brightman - Deliver Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctbES9I4Z-g
Ok I got two videos, but dunno if I could call this a musicvideo? Well it is music in it and video clips lol, but it's more of the cast of LOTR? Ah anyway, if only one is accepted and with movie clips then the first one is the one I want in the most hehe

Well, I think the reason is because WMVs are hardly recognized by anything-- to my knowledge, Windows Movie Maker is one of the very, very few video editing softwares that actually works with them, sadly.

Why do you need it to be a QuickTime file? Is your movie done and you are trying to put it on the web, or is this about getting clips from the ripper?
If it's about the ripper, sorry I cann't help, but I don't use a ripper, I find clips on other videos.

^^Same here, Kelenloth-- I have permission to use clips from a certain person's LotR vids. But anyway, a WMV should upload fine, as far as I know... if you can save it as a WMV, that should work.
EDIT: Kelenloth, I LOVE your vids... and the song "Homesick" really touched me a lot.

Hi guys, I just thought I'd provide some info that I figured out helped and worked for me.
USING THE RIPPER:
File output as AVI. But if you do, don't forget to go into options or something and change the frame rate of the output to the lowest one, something like 23.
AVI is the smallest size and saves space tremendously.
USING WMMAKER:
Import your files or drag them into the library.
It's OK to save your output as WMV, Tinypic and Photobucket allow for uploads of WMV files as long as they're under 5 minutes.
Hope this helps!

I just finished watching all the videos that have been submitted so far, and I'd just like to say that they're all amazing! They make me remember why I'm a LotR fan.
