Twippo, may I just say that your artwork is completely stunning. Your pictures look almost like photographs they're so good. And i saw something in the thread you have for you artwork about posting a drawing tutorial. You should definitely do that! I'd take it!
Once again, beautiful stuff!

P.S. Well done to everyone else as well! Nauriel Rochnur, the horse is very well drawn! ;)

Ermm I was in the hospital so I really had no time to do a new drawing, much as I wanted to, so here's the only LotR drawing of mine that I can dig up ... a few people have seen this one before::

http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h224/ ... lorien.jpg

*cough* it's a shell in the bottom right corner ... if it's not acceptable then I'll be alright with dropping out :teehee:

and my scanner wasn't big enough to scan the entire drawing ... it's supposed to be much longer

I know this is two days late, but as you can see I have a crappy scanner and had to fix it... This is just the beginning of my drawing but this is all I have at the moment

Tis of my perception of Legolas, no references

That's really nice Supergirl! Is it supposed to be Old Man Willow? That's what it made me think of anyway.

Pandora, yours is pretty too. :) It was cool to see a different perception of Legolas!

I must warn you mods. Not saying everyone does this but you can take a screen capture or a still from Lord of the Rings movies and manipulate it to where it looks like an oil painting or a colored pencil sketch. Therefore it is almost impossible to prove if it was done outside the computer. Just be careful...I really like all of your entries, guys.

You're right, it would. Look for pixeled areas or overly blurred areas (trying to hide the pixellation of an enlarged low-resolution photo). Also, uniform pictures, in example, where the whole picture is covered in the exact same brush stroke (a result of using the Oil Painting filter in certain applications).

Fortunately it doesn't look like anyone cheated in this art contest, and why would they? What do you really get if you win like that, bragging rights? :P I mean, it's all for experience, isn't it?

^^ Indeed.. I can't imagine why anyone would cheat.. Wouldn't be any fun at all..

If anyone had the stupidity enough to cheat and if they win, than y'know --- everyone else would know that cheated, and they wouldn't feel at all proud about it now would they?

The feeling of cheating and winning isn't as good as doing it yourself and losing.

I know that all of you guys are honorable and everything but there are the occasional people who feel they have to cheat to succeed. I'm just warning you.
