♥♥Spring is coming and Love is in the air!! *sigh* ♥♥
Okidokes everyone! Love poem--do I have to explain it? I hope not... :P
Rules:
♥Please don't make it really long or really short...sonnet format would be easy
example:
In this life
The lonely are around
Things that bring strife
Love, happiness surround

As they walk on
A road so lonely
But filled with people on
The path of life, how lovely

Almost everywhere
They turn is happy people
And newly-weds over there
Kissing under the steeple

Everyone else's life is lovely,
Why is mine so lonely?
(wow that was pretty good for off the top of my head)

♥If you don't want to make it into a sonnet that's okay
♥NO depressing love poems...they need to be happy poems about love and crushes at school--stuff like that
♥It doesn't have to be based on your life-you can make up a fictional love story
♥one poem per person
♥Fourteen spots-I'll be taking one---EDIT: i'm going to lower it to 7 spots, because this contest isn't as popular as i thought it would be... :(

I'll enter!
It'll be more about the future than the present, though, the guy for someday.

Edit: Well, here it is:

Someone waiting out there for me,
Not knowing who I am yet,
But preparing himself for me.

Someone to protect me,
To help me, to understand me.
Someone who stands on his own,
Who values families, who is humble.
Someone who loves children.
Who is responsible and works hard.

Someone to love me for who I am.

And I, here, am waiting for him,
Not knowing who he is yet,
But preparing myself for him.

Someone for me to love for who he is.
Waiting for God to write our love story.

^unbelievable is the word i would say...but then again when i was younger people called me boy-crazy :P i'm not now being 15 and mature (for the most part) and i'm also more dedicated to one person and not liking like 5 at once...see for me i can't last without crushing on someone, but that's because i'm a romantic- i think it's a leo thing because all my friends that are leos are the same way as me...but idk...for someone who's never really had a crush on someone that was a great poem!

Silme Meleth, Okay I'll base mine losely on Harry Potter's Draco and Hermione (whom I do Not own but wish that I did :teehee:) then. Allright, here is my entry it is far from perfect and it could fit for several couples, but it seems to be all that I could come up with. Um I tried to make it as less depressive as I could and I hope that you like it.

It can be just you and me
We like being secret lovers
The wolrd doesn't have to see
There is no need for the opinions of our mothers
Perfect is our love
Yet we are both flawed
Still you are clearly from above
To the other we are called
We started with nothing other than hate
A passionate fire
Love is now and forever our fate
Cupid is no liar
You love me and I love you
It is just you and me
We fell for the other right on cue
And now we're letting love just be :-D

(I don't like to rhyme, so I hope you like this poem as well, even if it is without any rhymes :P )

A beloved person


This strange warm feeling,
The joy when you see
When you hug or when you kiss
a beloved person.

The feeling to be nervous
while waiting for a call
or waiting for any message from
a beloved person.

This feeling deep within you
that you'll never be able to live without
to breathe or to feel without
a beloved person.

You cannot escape it,
Everywhere you go you'll find
a beloved person,
and you'll never want to let him go,
He's your everything.

^that is really cute! and like all my english teachers say to me "poems don't have to rhyme to be good!" so that definately is the kind of poem they talked about :)
