[sighs] Unfortunately, due to my back to school experience and introductions to my new classes, it does not look like I will have any regular time schedule free enough to fulfill the obligations I have to these contests (Screencapture Contest & Song Themed Contest) and the general forum as much as I would have liked. Going into my second-to-last year of standard high school, there is a lot of emphasis on college-courses that I am taking which should clue into how much time I will have to spend on homework alone. As much as I would've liked to be able to host these contests beyond STC's 10th round and see SC reach its 30th round, I am afraid that it is realistically impossible to see these rounds through in the same time-span that I've tried to run them. ### I am willing to hand over this contest series to someone that I can trust can follow the same themes to each contest, pick appropriate and fun themes, and keep the same criteria that made these contests unique. This includes keeping the rounds at a length of two-weeks to a month in length. ### If it is okay with you guys (meaning the majority of those who enter the STC and SC contests regularly) that the STC and SC remain under my supervision but with unforeseeable time-spans in relation to my schedule? This means each contest round may end up being up to a month or two months in length (not including time spending on voting + awards to be made). What do you guys think? Do you have any other ideas? Would you like me to hand over the contests or do you prefer for me to keep running it even if it meant longer time-spans? Volunteers/Nominations---- ++ Turwaithiel Swann |

I'd prefer if you could hand them over to someone else, since a month or more is quite a long time for one round. However, I'm not entering STC and Sc that regularly, so let's see what other people say. ![]() |

I'm not much of a regular either, but it'd be nice to continue with the contests regularly instead of waiting months[a procrastiator's bittersweet dream xP], but only if you trust the person. It'd be great to see the contest keep going because even if I don't pariticipate I love to watch. =) School sucks. >.< |

I believe that I am pretty constant in these also. I would say to hand them over also, whether to one person or two. |

Thank you all for the input and yes, Aliana Dawne, school does rather suck as of now. |

I would say hand them over, to anyone you can trust and would be willing to keep it up. Like FF said, a month or two is rather a long time to wait between each round. |

Aww, it's a sad day when even Kit feels like she can't be on AU as much because of school.... *knows where she can send the pink duckies when they aren't busy* I don't know really. I'm kinda torn. It seems a long time to wait, but you do everything so well, I'm not sure if it would be the same. Maybe if someone did take over, they could get the song subjects and themes from you? That way, they are doing the running of the contest but the ideas are still yours. That's if you had the time to sort of say to someone "hey, I think having pink ducks would be great for the next contest and let's make it an avatar". |

I am dreadfully sad to find that I won't be able to host the rounds as sufficient and satisfactory as I have always tried to. It shall upset me very much so to see these contests out of my hands and (at the very least) into as capable hands or even more so. And thank you so much, JF, for saying that I've run these contests well, because it does well for my ego and comforts me so that I don't think that I'm a dreadful host and everyone would want me gone because of it. I do very much like your idea---but the person that would be good enough to take up the work of running the contests may feel that won't get any satisfaction or "benefits" to it. Or perhaps I should make most of the themes, and giving the new host the opportunity to do their own theme as a reward for doing so well of running the contest? |

*huggles Kit* You're one of the AU contest hosts here Kit. And it doesn't matter if you yourself can't host your contests for a week, 3 months, or 8 years, nothing will change that. Hmm... well I think that is something that you would have to work out with the new host. I think maybe you could take it in turns or something, or if the new host say, isn't too comfortable with finding song lyrics, that could be something you could help with, by supplying them instead. ![]() |

Hear hear! I always look foreward to seeing the new ideas you come up with and the wonderful results of those ideas, Kit. v_v It'd be a shame to have you gone completely from the process of making contests, but whatever works best. |

Oh thank you guys. ![]() That would be a good idea, JF. I wouldn't mind checking in and helping here and there if the new host has any questions, so I'd technically still be supervising to make sure everything's fine but not really hands-on. And I do very much want to remain involved, even is it just to oversee everything. Secondly---any suggestions/volunteers to run contest rounds? Perhaps even for a little while? And then we can see if anyone else would be willing to run it for a while---take turns, maybe? |

I'll do whatever I can to help, naturally. Taking contests in turn might be a good idea, or just having someone as a standby in case the host becomes too busy with school or something. |

I'll help. I'm homeschooled during most of the day, but after I'm done with my schoolwork my parentals don't mind care what I do. =P I'll definitely help as much as I can, even if it's only to give contest ideas. |

Should I make it a rule that the host cannot enter the contest since they handle the votes and results? That's always been a little rule for me, because I find it just uncomfortable to see that one of the contestants handle the results. |
