Welcome to the Official Hallowfest Pumpkin Carving Contest! ~~~
Objective To carve a pumpkin, of course! The design can be anything, from the traditional triangle-eyed grin to an intricate recreation of Michangelo's ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. You can work from a stencil from a website, or you can free style your own design. Anything goes! Rules -- The pumpkin should be your own. Not your neighbor Edward Scissorhand's, though no doubt his must be very good. -- When finished, photograph your pumpkin either lit or unlit and PM it to me (Taurquende). -- Due date is October 31. -- Don't hurt yourself. -- Please don't hurt yourself. -- Or other people and/or things. Awards Instead of the usual 1st, 2nd, 3rd, the awards will be given in categories. For example, Scariest, Cutest, Most Creative, etc.. Psst, everyone will get an award!! Resources (Sites with free stencils, tips, and ideas) Cyber Haunt Better Home and Garden eHow FamilyFun Zombie Pumpkins !!Warning!! Do be careful! Unfortunately accidents happen, and sharp knives are potentially dangerous! Exercise common sense: keep your fingers out of the path of your knife, and keep a firm grip on the handle so it doesn't slip somewhere it shouldn't. Adult supervision is highly recommended. If you are an adult, then supervision by someone older and wiser than you is still recommended. Or at least supervision by someone who's good with a knife. (Good in the sense of not cutting things that shouldn't be cut, I mean. Jack the Ripper... yeah, he probably wouldn't be a very good supervisor.) With that out of the way, let me just say Have fun and get carving! |

I'll do this. ![]() ![]() UNFORTUNATELY I've been told that I have to work on Saturday, which means I'll have no time off this weekend. So I doubt I'll be able to manage getting this done. ![]() ![]() |
