| Post subject: | Rental Car for 3-Day NYC Trip |
Planning a 3-day NYC trip with my family and wondering if getting a rental car makes sense? Heard mixed opinions about driving in Manhattan but we want to hit multiple boroughs and maybe escape the city for a day. Worth the hassle or stick to subway? |

Honestly, it depends on your itinerary, but it's very useful for trips across multiple areas! That's exactly what we did last month — on the first day, we visited the classic Manhattan sights, on the second day, we went to the Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island, and on the third day, we went to the Hudson Valley for wine tasting. Without our own car, we would never have been able to go to the countryside and make it to a Broadway show. Parking can be expensive, but you save on endless taxi rides and subway delays. Plus, carrying shopping bags from Soho is much easier when you can put everything in the boot. The freedom to move around at your own pace when rental a car in NYC really matters, especially with children or a busy schedule.
