Building a small shed for garden tools and the main water spigot is inside. Want an access door that won't rust in the rain but still looks intentional, not like an afterthought. |

Outdoor plastic is the way—metal just flakes. This access panel is UV-stabilized so it won't yellow, and the gasket around the edge keeps bugs out. I mounted it on plywood backing inside the shed wall; caulked the exterior seam with exterior-grade silicone. Now I can shut off the hose bib in winter without digging through shelves. |
