I tend to tink of LOTr as more of one big book than three or six separate ones, but that's just me. I love them all the same. But it's different for everyone. Different people favor different books. It's great that you're reading it though! I hope you'll come back and discuss it with us as you go!

It is probably a bit harder to understand than FOTR which was relatively easy to uderstand lol.

I like them both around equally, but maybe FotR's a little better. Maybe.

I liked the book of FotR way better, TTT seemed to drag at places. Though I prefer TTT movie better... I don't know why XD

I will bring balance and say that I think that TTT is a bit stronger written, that is to say, it is the beginning of the war of the ring. Whereas FOTR was written with a bit more comedy in it because the war had not started proper I think. TTT had to be a bit more serious as it is more about the fight for Middle Earth beginning and that needs a more dramatic intro than hobbits singing lol.

I like them both! But I always though TTT was a lot easier to understand. I tried reading them while I was still little and couldn't completely understand it. If I hadn't watched TFotR I would have been completely lost.

I bought the book a few years ago after I watched FoTR and tried to read it at a young age.
It was difficult for me so, like Princess of Ithilien said, I couldn't completely understand it.
But now, I'm reading it again and I'm happy to say I understanding it better than the time I tried reading it when I was a little kid.
I'm not done reading it yet but it's been really good so far.

The First time I read FotR I was in 5th grade. I actually found FotR easier to read than TTT. I'm not sure why but I read FotR a lot faster. Also when I re-read them I found it the same way. But I, like some other people, see LotR as one book, not three or six. Each part is special and unique in it's own way

It's hard to pick which book of The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the best. In my opinion, they are all incredible . I'm not saying what other people say is wrong, that's just what I think.
