The Two Towers and The Fellowship of the Ring are both really good, in my opinion.

I don't know what book I like best, as I see them more like a whole. The books don't really stand alone, so I think the whole is great. All three books are great, each is different of course, but all three are great!!

I love the way you put that, Brynhild. I agree with you.

I like TTT better. No reason behind it.

It's always in TTT that I get caught up in the story, to the point that I don't feel tempted to read something else, or even do anything else but read. For that reason, I like TTT, but I can't say whether or not I like it better than any of the others.

That's quite the simple way to put it, Risestel :P.

I feel the same way, Aerandir. I'm not saying I like The Two Towers better than the other two books, but I feel the same way when I read any of them.

TTT for me, its when the story begins to pick up pace, and it goes all the way the the choices of master samwise, and helms deep, and we meet smeagol! :)

I understand what you mean, Slickman_G. The Fellowship of the Ring explained things, but it was still an amazing story. The Two Towers was definitely just a story, but both books were incredible.

FotR doesn't have Eowyn...
TTT does.
Makes all the difference to me... but FotR is good as well. All 3 have different things that make them my favorite - I don't think I could have a favorite.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused, The Nightingale. Did we mention Eowyn in relation to The Fellowship of the Ring, or are you just stating the fact? Sorry, I don't mean to be annoying .

Basically just stating the fact... Eowyn is my favorite character, therefore I like TTT and RotK a bit more than FotR because of that.
