I like the good side of gollum, it kinda proves that if you're nice enough to someone then it can make a difference in how they act and see themselves. :)

I agree!

I think Smeagol is very cute!

He has a sort of innocence to his presence.

I believe that his dark side complements his hobbit side perfectly, It means that we can appreciate far more, his hobbit-ness and pity him more. It works vice-versa also. It means that we can see what a corrupt soul poor smeagol is, and ho wmuch he wishes to reject this evil...but he is far too vunerable.

i definetly like the good side. gollum's so dumb. he gets on my nerves, especially when he talks about hurting frodo & sam. ugh :annoyed:
smeagol is so cute at the part with him catching the rabbits and then sam cooks them, and smeagol is whining and stuff. lol :cyclops:

Smeagol Rules!

He's soo funny and cute! I hate the fact that the ring has corrupted that. It's such a pity. He's such a gentle creature.

Gollum on the other hand, is somewhat very different. He is trechorous and deciteful.

I really like Smeagol but Gollum is very deceitful. I pity Smeagol because the ring has corrupted his mind.

exactly what i was aying. Its soo strange how two very contrasting characters can be trapped in the same body. It just goes to prove how evil the ring really is you know...

That is also something I've always wondered about. It would seem likely that Gollum did it, because Smeagol wouldn't have killed Deagol just because of a ring I think, but on the other hand I don't know how Gollum could have been there so quickly...

Well... of course Smeagol wouldnt have killed any body just for a ring... but this was not just a ring it was The One Ring, that can corrupt the finest of hearts. I believe Smeagol had a very fine heart. So did Frodo and look how it got to him in the end... it made him turn against his best friends Sam...
