I think one thing that draws me to Rohan is... I dunno. I've always associated the Roherrim with Celts. I don't really know why - maybe just because they're free spirited and such.
And I'm mostly Celtic (plus Germanic... hah, what a barbarian I am), so anything Celtic tends to be something I like.

I love how their horses are so loyal to them and how beautful the country looks in the movie.

When I first read LOTR, I was in 3rd grade, so I think that I liked the elves best because they were so pretty and magical and stuff. But now I am sure that the culture of the Rohirrim is my favorite.I love how they are called the Horse Lords. I also loved the idea of Simblmyne (sp?) which in middle-earth only grows upon th tombs of lords of the Riddermark...

Well, Tolkien did kind of base the Rohirrim off of the Anglo-Saxon culture, so I suppose that may be why it feels sort of Celtic as well.

I love the Rohirrim because they're so awesome! They were Middle-Earth's cavalry. And I love how they were so...I dunno how to describe it, but "of the earth." You know? They really lived. Like, the Gondorians seemed rather distant (natural, as they were Numenorians at one point) but the Rohirrim really seemed to live life.

The Rohirim were really wonderful and I loved the fact that they had horses. It was so neat! I also love all the main Rohan characters. write more later...
