Thats exactly it Haldy! If anyone feels they can't keep up with the date then that's 100% OK! But I think people would like to know that, rather than wondering *when does this contest end*. There is no set date for any contest is just an estimate. So tellimg me to change the date is the solution. However, if it's the actual list and *formalites* people don't like...well..there's not much I can do about that. I don't think posting saying *here is the link to my new contest* is stripping people of their independance or anything I mean imagine the club without the directory!

I understand what you're saying, WML.

But maybe we could look at all of the recent "formalities" as a form of treatment of an A-U growth spurt? Let's face it, Arwen-Undomiel.com is a gigantic site, and only grows bigger. Same with the forum. There are new people joining every single day. With all these people roaming the topics, things get cluttered and disorganized. Things like the club and contest directory are only made to help reduce that. Being a big community is nothing bad, but it means that a few changes may have to be made.

It was easier before, with a smaller group of members, to go without directories, lists, specific threads, etc. But perhaps you could look at those as the small price we have to pay with having a large, playful community.

You hit the nail on the head as usual Gwen. Johnny's Fan and Haldir have offered suggestions concerning contests, and tin has sorted out the PMing business, so I think we should all go away from this happy.
If you have any more things to sort out, I would suggest doing it by PM, because we don't want other people than the specific party to become involved. That would just cause one big, chaotic fight... and a mess.
