Well I would have to say later in July or August. I know a few of people who will be going to summer camps around the begginning of July, and they wouldn't be able to attend.....I don't think I would either....but that's just a thought.

Aye, but I know some people who will be gone in August due to holidays and such... Maybe the middle of June would be better?

They were talking about July, not August.

Definitely have my participation in this event. The date of it (mid-June) is actually a good time because I'll be -poof- in August. Since this'll be my first time at the Ball on A-U, I wouldn't want to miss it.

I should be able to get on in June.

I would say that June would be a good time for the summer ball, because, as many others already said, many of us (including me) will be on holiday in June or August.

Aye, I'll second that. I don't think mine finish until the 15th June and I know AU will drop down on the priorities list during the exam period.
The ideas sound good though, just timing seems to be the biggest thing we need to think about. Exciting stuff though.

All those plans sound great! I'm certainly going to be there
Although June isn't the best time for me.. I'm having testweek/exams till the end of June, so the beginning of July is better for me.

Oh sorry, I didn't know that. Well, what about late June/early July then??

Ok, so what we have so far.
People who would like it...
June some time:
- EA
- Lithium
- Fíriel_18190
- smeagollum is busy for the first few weeks of June.
- Shadowcat is busy in June.
Although smeagollum and Shadow both said their whole summers weren't that good.
July/August time:
- Aramel Elyanwë
- Larael
- Will
- Este
- Ellie
- Haldir
- July 15th - 21st - Aramel is on holiday.
- ethelfleda is away from 24th-27th August.
We need to think about:
- Camps.
- Busiest time for family holidays.
- UKers having their GCSEs. They start around May for most I believe and finish towards the end of June.
I think if we establish a date or rough time, we can start thinking more on activities. Without a date things get harder I find. I hope the above has helped a little.
