Btw...
Two questions:
When someday(in the distant future) I will have 9000+ posts can I name my rank? (O mean the rank page update had something like that or will you mods dictate that for us?)
And I noticed those stars of yours, will normal members have change in them and btw I have 6 and about 1/2 stars  _________________

When you reach 9000+, you'll be able to pick your own rank name. I don't know the details, but I believe you'll be given the option to changing your rank name at your leisure.
Meh, I really don't see why Moderator stars after all glowy and stuff, it really doesn't matter to me... Maybe Arwen will create different looking stars for each rank if you want to suggest it.

Curunir, I understand that you're not always pleased with moderator actions, but could you please try not to assume things? Where did you ever get the idea that the"mods will dictate that for us"? Custom rank means custom rank. You'll be able to choose whatever rank you want, as long as it's relatively short (in the range of usual forum ranks). It could be LotR-related, non-LotR-related, whatever you want. When you reach over 9000 posts, you'll see that it says "Custom Rank," and that's when you can PM a mod to get it changed.
Custom Rank people get sparkly silver stars. Tolkien Scholar people (who come before Custom Rank people, actually) get sparkly gold stars. It does seem like gold should come after silver, I guess, but since all other ranks have gold stars, I thought silver would stand out more _________________

Well. If a moddie reached 9000 posts and wanted silver stars, s/he would be entitled to them just like anybody else...but rainbow stars set them off from other members so members can easily tell who's who  _________________

About choosing your own rank at 9000, once you pick it are you ever allowed to change it?

Alright, lol, yeah that could get annoying.
I just read the last few pages of the thread...I missed a lot. Glad it's all resolved now. There were a few things I would like to respond to but it's best not to get into it again
I love the new ranks I'm just sad I never got to be a ringwraith
