It's been a while since you created the system Jo. Many people might not even know what it's all about.
I don't know what could be done to make more people use it, perhaps it's not needed... I mean the people who'd use it, might already talk via PM...

Hmm.. I don't really know how many people already have them on their sig. Maybe the people who have got the symbols and would like to talk about those topics should just look if people they know have got the same symbols as them and then just PM them saying Hey I noticed you've got this symbol as well, I'd really like to talk about this and this topic

I might use it more I'm just too lazy to look up what the symbols mean over and over. There's no way I can memorize what they mean, so...I don't know.

hmmm, maybe a symbol awareness program is in order....

I feel kinda bad, I made it and I've even forgotten what its about.

*idea* Maybe, when someone strays toward a banned topic, instead of just giving a general 'please be aware of the rules' kinda pm or such, you/they could be directed toward the symbol things.

ie. 'While we do ask you to be aware of our forum rules when posting in threads, we do encourage you to talk to your fellow members about these sort of subjects via pm. To know which members to talk to, check out these symbols here *insert link*'

Also, I know it would be alot of work..but perhaps making a list of who has which symbols may help too?

Yeah maybe that would be a good idea. That way you don't have to search for people who have the same symbol as you.

Yeah, I like that idea, Jo. It'd be a lot easier to search for the topic/symbol and then select a name within that topic.
