I was just thinking of this as I was on another forum. Would the mods and Arwen consider setting up another sub forum in Fan Section for Photoshop Battles? That's one of my favorite things about the other forum I go on. For those of you who don't know what a PS battle is, it's when two graphic makers 'volley' back and forth on a certain theme. They take turns posting a 700x500 graphic on the theme they choose. They also can add special rules. It's not really a competition, just a way to improve your skills. And you can use any graphic-making program, not just Photoshop ![]() I think it would be a great idea for such a graphic-oriented forum such as this ![]() I hope you all at least consider it! ![]() ![]() ~Gil |

Oh that does sound cool ![]() How about having them in the fan art section for the moment until we can see how many people are interested/ what Arwen thinks? |

Graphics battles are cool! However, as Elanor said, I'm not sure how popular they'd be. Maybe we could have a stickied thread for them in the Fan Art section instead of a whole sub-forum for them? |

I love Photoshop battles, even though I have to yet participate in one. =) So I give my vote for yes. ![]() |

I think it would be a good idea. I have never entered a battle and I don't know if there's be any point as I'm sure "my oponent" would win easily. Would it be for other graphics programmes as well? |

Awesome! ![]() ![]() JF - You can use any graphic program you want, not just Photoshop ![]() ![]() A photoshop battle is a great way to improve your knowledge of Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and other programs alike, to experiment and to learn new things. The name "Photoshop Battle" does not exclude the use of other programs though, you can use GIMP, Paint Shop Pro or any other program (except for Paint, which is evil). A PS battle is actually a back-and-forth between two people: The person to start the battle has to come up with a graphic (collage) made in PS (or any other program; we call it photoshop because that's how they started). Then, his/her partner will save the graphic and make another one, as a kind of "reply" to the previous one. This will go on for ten rounds (5 each). The goal is to create a theme, and to develop it a little more with each new volley. |

^That really sounds like a great idea. I'm not a graphic maker, but I would love to follow the battles and see the results. ![]() |

I would love to do this. But Like Arwen said it wouldnt have to be another forum. It could be like a challenge. Like you could challenge someone through PM, or just start a thread and request a challenger. then go from there. I am all for it! ~*EA*~ |

Then people can start a new thread for each new battle. And your battle results look really great ![]() |
