I've just been reading through all of the suggestions and comments and well... i'm pretty much depressed . It seems everyones gone a bit moany in there old age. I've just noticed that i'm not allowed to send out wedding invitations and i'm not allowed to finish my own contests when i'm ready without being named and shamed. So, it's my turn for a moan!
Haven't we been adding a few too many rules and restrictions recently? This isn't a suggestion or anything... just a general moany comment (seems we've got quite a few around so i'll go with the flow). This'll probably get locked for being moany, but hey!
Don't get me wrong, I love all the rules you've got for safety around here but I it's getting a bit out of hand, don't you?
Next thing we'll be starting a
'Do-Not-Reply-To-Posts-of' list: as we seem to have one for everything else!

..back again, picking myself up, dusting off..and facing life..

Ok, first off. I'm going to be blunt here as this has annoyed me. My hamsters just had babies would you be happy if I sent you PM'S inviting you to the christening? And then PM's when they get married? And then when they have babies themselves? No. Why's that? Because your probably not interested and for those of us who take no interest in the famliy tree, to receive a PM inviting you to a wedding, is annoying but also embarassing? I mean how can you say to someone "no I don't want to go to an AU weding" without upsetting them? And for those of us who don't want these PM's, were not saying you can't PM other people! So, I think there should be a little give and take here. You don't bother us with PM's and we won't be bothered.

Now, the next item on the agenda.

I'm really, really miffed by this. I haven't spent all that time on the directory to be made out to be a "moaner" and a stopper of contests. If you actually had taken the time to read the thread properly nowhere does it say you will either be denied or granted permission to start a contest. It is basically a list of all the contests that are available.



I presume that means me does it? Do you say that about Kit and the Club Directory?



I never name those who don't finish their contests. Everyone who starts their contests can finish them as long as they let me know they genuinely want to finish them. If someone has abandoned their contest and doesn't reply to PM's what am I supposed to do? Wait around until the sun burns out? There was one particular contest, that the creator was around on AU all day, yet never replied to my PM's. I started the voting and finished that contest and there was no problem between me or the person who started it.

Sorry if it sounds a bit out of order but....that kinda hurt.

^The thing is - Scarl wanted to do her own voting, and she was kinda annoyed that she couldn't - we're weighed down with homework right now, but i don't like the whole 'set date' thing. And that i have to finish it on that date. As i said - i don't have problem with YOU but i do with the system... and i think all the lists make the forum 'impersonal' and we might as well not be here if we don't want to interact with others, right?

^well Scarlett could always say that it her voting would be postponed ... that wouldn't be that hard, now would it? Nobody said that you MUST finish the contest on that precise date... it's just to give an approximate idea of when the contest will end. Plus you can just post on JF's thread and tell her that the date will be postponed if you ARE too busy.

And the lists are supposed to make things easier for the members (a.k.a, yourself) so i dont see why we're all complaining about it. JF is taking her own time to do that contest directory so i think we really should appreciate that ... I know I do.
